Need some recommendations.
I am doing 6 hour product demos on concrete and my feet are killing me. |

Are you looking for dress/casual walking shoes, or tennis shoe style? _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Needs to be dark in color and not 'flashy' (I am in dress slacks), but comfort comes first as I am standing on the concrete for 6 hours with little chance to actually sit. |

one of the best things you can do is go to a local running/walking store. not a sport chalet, but a place that actually knows what they are talking about. bring your current shoes you are walking in, and they'll be able to figure out what kind of stride you have, and what shoe/insoles would be appropriate. a place where employees know their stuff, and can properly tell what is best for you will be more informative than anyone online purely because they can physically see what would be best for you. _________________ mike breen with the call: "dwayne wade has the ball with nine seconds left... the refs for the WIN BANGGGGGGGGGGGGGG." |

I just went shoe shopping last week at Macy's. Nike tends to fit me the best, so I started out with them. Sales guy had me try on Eccos -- said most of their customers think they are the best feeling shoe they have ever tried. He was right -- I ended up buying three pair. They make everything from athletic to dress:

My girlfriend is a podiatrist. She recommneds Asics and Brooks for walking/running. They don't tend to be very stylish, but you may be able to find some in all black that would work if you are wearing slacks. |

Red Wing Shoes are great. They make a ton of styles, and they are meant for long periods of use. At the stores, they'll fit you and help you find the perfect shoe for what you need. Link to Riverside stores _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Some guys swear by the puma mostros...
A guy I knew was a distributor for zcoils... I met a guy who swears by them saying that his back doctor prescribed them to him...
Also, since it's here in HI you probably have it on the mainland... you might want to try getting custom made insoles/inserts (?not sure of the proper lingo)... iirc the company is called the ... ahh I can't remember I'll get back to you when I find the name. |

Most comfortable (non athletic) shoes I've owned have been 2 pairs of Sandro Moscoloni shoes. They are well worth the price.

Agreed. Gotta go with Asics.....They are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever worn. However, I haven't tired a lot of the shoes that other posters are mentioning.....just my disclaimer. |

They look great, feel great, and I get tons of compliments. People are always asking where I got my shoes...
Best of all, it feels like I'm walking barefoot. |
