I'm looking for something small and unobtrusive to use when I do cardio. Is the lack of a screen a big deal? _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |

I have it and use it Mtn Biking. I clip it on my camelbak and have the controls right at my fingertips.
Since Im on a bike, I dont need, nor would I look at a screen. The shuffle is perfect for working out or some sort of activity like that.
I still use my regular iPod for plane rides, the beach, etc. _________________ I'm really big in Europe.

Wow, it keeps getting smaller and smaller...
Lack of screen is no big deal if you're using it primarily to work out.
Looks sweet. |

Hopefully they fixed the 6-12 month lifespan problem.
My wife has the old style 512MB. She uses it to listen to podcasts and audio books. She likes it, except for the glitches, such as not properly saving bookmarks. The battery life seems to be inconsistent, also.
Plus, there's the "flashing orange and green lights of death".
I like the fact, they added the clip. |

I've got 4 of the old ones and why would anyone need one to be smaller. I actually like the size and shape of the nano when I run or hike.
[I'll probably buy one of these as Apple will convince me I need it ] |

ipod shuffle...again? oh wait but its smaller...so now theyre charginf for size?
for his my brothers birthday I got him a RCA lyra(i think)..came across it at a big lots..50 bucks. 512 plus you can use an SD card to exapnd. really small and it came with car charger/fm tuner. Looks good for working out..
I currently use my Ipod photo to the gym, but it DOES get in the way sometimes..
as far as buying a new ipod....for me, not likely. |

i have one (not the newer ones, obviously) that i use for working out and its great. The screen thing doesn't really bother me because im not gonna be looking down at a screen when i exercise anyway. Just sync it up in the morning before i go to the gym and it d/l's a bunch of new songs every time. |

I'll go one better, the jWin. I just bought one without an SD card for <$25 and got a 1gig SD card on sale for $15. So I have a 1gig RAM MP3 player for <$40. Plus, since it uses SD cards I can 'expand' it buy just buying more memory cards. |

I've never really used those "ear bud" style headphones. Do they stay in when your exercising? _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |

Two questions... When you turn it off and then back on again does it pick right up in the middle of the song you were listening to? Also, does it let you fast forward/rewind? _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |
