i was just wondering if anybody here at lg.net would actually pay 2,000 dollars for a ps3?

no point in hating the rich. if i had the money i'd buy it coz it wouldn't affect me the least. if i were rich there's no way i'd be camping at best buy just to get my hands on a ps3. i'd rather go watch a movie and enjoy myself and pay someone 2k for doing the camping for me (which is very tiresome to say the least.) just like rich people pay someone to do their household work.

I never understood the concept of camping out for something. To be the first person to see a movie? To be the first person to buy something new? I never quite got it.

And no, I would not pay $2000 for a damn gaming system. Hell, it is going for $600 now, and I won't even pay that! I will wait til it comes down significantly (yes, I understand it may be several years before that happens).

figuratively speaking: i just have 1,500 bucks on my bank account, there's no way i'm gonna shell out 600 bucks for that. now i put myself on the shoes of the well off. if i had a million bucks set aside, i wouldn't mind paying that ridiculous amount. coz 600 or 2k wouldn't matter to me. it would just seem like me shelling ten bucks for a used ps2 game on ebay now at my present financial state.

There have been news reports of people being shot for PS3s. They were showing fist fights over PS3 lines shown on the news last night. Some are said to be paying thousands for them on E-Bay. It's crazy.

id rather please myself for 1 week straight on porn, popcorn, laker games, sex and hookers rather than wait a week in line for a PS3... what a waste of time

LOL i would like to see the cats that waited in line in a few years or so.....they prolly in their mid 20's with type 2 diabetes and carpel tunnel sundrome

Nintendo launched their unit which includes a game for about half the price of PS3. Although they were said to plan on having five to ten times as many units as PS3, they have already sold out the stores. They plan on 4 million units shipped by the end of the year at $250 each. That about a billion dollars retail.

There was another PS3 robbery. Someone was going to sell two for $5,000, but he was robbed when he showed up.
