CASINO ROYALE -- Definitely NOT the same old Bond

Consider this "Bond Begins."

The same way "Batman Begins" started over from scratch after the Michael Keaton/ Val Kilmer/ George Clooney Batman films, this new Bond movie is doing the same.

Some of the images and traditions may be familiar, but this is a flat-out reboot/ do-over/ mulligan.

Example 1: M
Pre-Casino Royale (CR): Judi Dench played a new "M" / head of MI-6, as she mentions her "predecessor" in Goldeneye, replacing the guy we've seen in the other movies.
CR: Dench IS "M" for all intents and purposes, and so far the only one this Bond knows.

Example 2: The Aston Martin DB5
Pre-CR: Bond gets the Aston Martin issued to him in "Goldfinger" and keeps driving it around in later movies ("Thunderball," "Goldeneye," 'Tomorrow Never Dies") or gets newer Aston Martins to drive ("On Her Majesty's...", "The Living Daylights," "Die Another Day").

Etc., etc., etc.

did you guys notice the appearnce of GOLDFINGER?

He was the guy with the range rover....gold...spoke with the same accent, and same threads........

OK, missed that one... Of course, i'm still dying to make a second watching of the thing. My parents keep changing plans on me.
