really wanted the Bucs to land Bradley Chubb....but since that now looks unlikely, I am warming up to the idea of drafting Marcus Davenport...we desperately need to add talent on the edge. |

The Bucs would probably do well to get Minkah Fitzpatrick if he were available at that spot. Or if Quenton Nelson were there, he'd help the offensive line a ton, although he's a guard. Still, the importance of good interior line play has become big in the NFL now. |

The NFL already retired him

Antonio Cromartie announces his retirement
Cornerback Antonio Cromartie didn’t play at all in the NFL in 2017 and he won’t be playing in the NFL in 2018, 2019 or any other year either.
In a post to Instagram on Monday, Cromartie announced that he is retiring from the NFL. He last played in four games for the Colts in 2016 before getting cut, something his wife suggested came because Cromartie took a knee during the national anthem. Cromartie said he thought he went unsigned last year for the same reason, but it didn’t come up in his farewell post.
“Today is the day I️ knew I️ would eventually have to face, but one I never wanted to accept,” Cromartie wrote. “After 27 years of playing football, today I say farewell. God blessed me with the opportunity to play in the NFL for 11 years, and after much consideration and prayer, I’d like to officially announce my retirement.”
Cromartie went on to thank the Chargers, Cardinals and Jets along with his coaches, agents and wife for their support during his career. Cromartie started his career as the 19th overall pick of the 2006 draft, spent four years with the Chargers and made first-team All-Pro in 2007. He spent four more years with the Jets, moved on to Arizona for one season and returned to the Jets in 2015 for his last full season in the league.

I believe he has a reality show?
Maybe through that I don't know what other skills he has to offer.
Sperm donation?
He's apparently put up his mansion in Jersey for sale. |

Stories are out there that Peyton Manning could get $10M a year as a color analyst.
If Romo is any indication, Peyton sure would be compelling to watch and listen to his insights but damn, $10M for a color analyst is just crazy! NFL sure does print that money... |

I like Minkah, but feel they could address their secondary in free agency...there are several quality CB's on the market, and the Buc's are in good shape in regards to the cap. We have to improve our Secondary and rushing the QB....both area's killed us last year, and are probably somewhat linked. |

I guess they're rebuilding then. Man, that Eagles DL was already insane before adding Bennett. And added him for practically nothing.
Sherman won't be the same player he once was. But that's good enough for a #2 for a lot of contenders. Just have to see if he wants the bucks or the ring. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Yeah I'll believe it when it happens if he wanted to do it he would've done it for CBS.
Working for ESPN is a step down. |

I thought they already had their SB rings?

Washington honoring 1987 replacement players with Super Bowl rings
Washington won the Super Bowl to end the 1987 season. But the replacement players from that team — who led Washington to a 3-0 record during the strike — have previously had their role recognized only in stories, a movie and a documentary. They had nothing else to show for their contributions.
That is about to change.
Washington announced owner Daniel Snyder plans to honor the replacement players with Super Bowl rings.
“The 3-0 record of the Redskins replacement players was part of the remarkable success of the 1987 Washington Redskins,” Snyder said, via quotes distributed by the team. “Their contributions are part of Redskins history and represent an integral reason why a Lombardi Trophy from the 1987 campaign resides in our facility today. Thanks in part to the generosity of our partners on this project, we are happy to honor these players for their role in that World Championship.”
A documentary titled Year of the Scab, directed by John Dorsey, aired as part of ESPN’s “30 for 30” series in September. The team worked with Dorsey, Baron Rings and Uptown Diamonds to make the rings happen.
Washington finished 11-4 in the regular season in 1987, winning the division on its way to a 42-10 victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XXII. |

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey and his brothers were part of a hiking group that helped save the life of a fallen hiker over the weekend in Colorado.
According to the Panthers’ team website, McCaffrey, his brothers Dylan and Max and a pair of friends, Michael Mann and Brooke Pettet, went to hike Castle Rock outside of Denver on Saturday. While the group was climbing the hill, they saw 72-year old Dan Smoker Sr. fall onto the rocks below.
“It felt like he was in the air for 10 seconds,” Christian McCaffrey said. “I had never seen anything quite like that in my life as far as the trauma and the sound. We were in shock.”
Smoker had been hiking with his 13-year old grandson, Eli, when he fell. McCaffrey called for paramedics and Mann performed chest compressions when Smoker stopped breathing. Upon arrival at the hospital, he was diagnosed with a broken femur, broken pelvis, a broken neck, nine fractured ribs, internal bleeding and bleeding on the brain.
Though Smoker remained in the hospital in stable condition as of Tuesday, he made it off the mountain alive.
“Looking back on this whole picture, I’m very confident that this group of folks saved my dad’s life,” Smoker’s son, Dan, told the Denver Post. “We’re indebted to all of those folks.” |

A good gamble. He and Garoppalo had good chemistry together. Though he isn't your prototypical big target WR, a good receiver is a good receiver. |
Rumor is interested SF is interested in Allen Robinson, would love to see him play with Jimmy G. |

I'd wouldn't be surprised if he's not on a roster heading into training camp with that injury.
Both Seahawks and Rams looking to revamp their defenses but the Rams are the only one who seem to be a following a plan to improve it. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |
