Now that he's here..Rondo's improved his 3% steadily.
Last 2 years:
2016-17: 38% on 2 attempts
2017-18: 33% on 2.3 attempts. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Wow! Didn't think releasing Randle was related to Rondo but I guess it was. I was glad to have Rondo but not at $9 million. I wonder how much Tyreke Evans was asking for. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Signing Rondo is definitely a head-scratcher, especially when you have to renounce Randle to do it. Or, perhaps the two are unrelated, but it'll still be seen as the Lakers choosing Rondo, over Randle. *sigh*
Welcome to the Lakers, Rondo...but damn, man. This hurts, frfr.

Regarding Rondo and the Lakers, source says they told him that with LeBron here they’re trying to win now. Best man wins the job.
So they valued Rondo over Randle in a "win now" move? _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

This is definitely a high iq signing and a good indicator that Bron wants to play off the ball at this point of his career. Rondo will be a good teacher for Lonzo, they play virtually the same, tho rondo shot a tad better than Lonzo last year. |

If he is here to push Lonzo or be a vet to help, I guess...
But I'm kind of confused as to what is going on right now. They are keeping next year's max open. But if next year is the focus, then you want to focus on the young guys maturing together while playing with Lebron. But all these vets one 1-years doesn't seem to match that approach.
Dropping Randle gave them cap relief. But then what?
I'm confused. :/ _________________ "We got a new universe coming and he's going to control all our universes. We're going to put our universes together" - Metta World Peace |

Some posters on here think they know so much. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka turned this team around in 1-2 years where (at the time) we had an albatross of bad contracts and limited cap space. That eventually turned into Lebron James and apparently this isn't enough to place trust in management.
Can we just sit back and see what transpires before turning the CAPS on and freaking the f*&k out? |

This is a good move, he's got great playoff leadership and can run an offense. I also think it's good for Lonzo, he needs a mentor and can take pressure off him. |

Wow, the euphoria of getting Lebron is evaporating. I really thought we were in such a great place to get Randle for cheap. And now we lose him for freaking Rondo and sign Lance Stephenson to a ridiculous contract as well. |

Rondo's IQ has been widely recognized. Just not sure how he fits. Dude is so smart that it I recall it being grating on other people. _________________ "We got a new universe coming and he's going to control all our universes. We're going to put our universes together" - Metta World Peace |

Don’t understand this signing - fit or capwise.

Next up Dirk, then Bosh comes out of retirement, maybe even Ray Allen..hey we need scorers, lets nab Vince Carter, and see if TMac wants to play again. Paul Pierce might want to come back, maybe even Ricky Davis. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi. |

Agreed. People are trying to judge how an omelet tastes when we only just put the eggs in the pan. Let management do their job, judge the team once the moves have all been made. |

I don't understand this team at all. From all we know about Lebron's glorious career, the recipe for success is to surround him with shooters. Our team is one of the worst 3 pt shooting teams out there. I don't understand any of this. Rondo cannot shoot. |

Cousins, Capela and Leonard (or Klay, maybe Jimmy Butler)
But they're looking to sign 3 studs.
That's the end game I believe. _________________ I miss you Kobe. I miss you Gigi. |
