I've been playing piano for over 30 years and am a big soul fan. This album is just ridiculous. What a musical genius this guy was. Anyone else catch this album? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

I look forward to hearing it. It's too bad so much of his music catalog isn't available for digital download. I haven't purchased a CD in years and most of the CD releases not available on other formats are ridiculously overpriced.
I just saw this album on Amazon for $38. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
Need to get this record. I heard one of the songs on the new Spike Lee film, during the end credits. Thought it was quite moving, flowed perfectly with the movie.

Oh yeah. The "Mary Don't You Weep" one. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Though with a different instrument and since this might not be well known by some, here is some mighty fine playing by Prince--but you gotta be patient, there is a lurker in the shadows.

Prince's guitar playing is so underrated IMO amongst the pantheons. (not sure if Ribeye's link is to that...can't play YT). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Ever? Or just at the moment? (And yeah, the sharp dressed dude in a red bowler hat tears it up on guitar.) _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

At work. Is this the famous recording where there are like 40 guitar players and then he rips a solo that just melts everyone else away? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
^yeah, that's the super well known Guitar Gently weeps solo where he tosses his guitar up and it never falls right after absolutely tearing up and mesmerizing Tom Petty and other legendary musicians. There's been a couple of cool docs made just about that solo. I'll see if I can find them.
