Yeah, I can see how he wouldn't have fit with that vision at all...
But I'm happy that he's now with a franchise that actually appreciates him. He's up to 17 points in the first half. |
They didn't "get rid of him". He didn't want to come back. There's a big difference. |

We all know it, but I have to say it again. We gave him away....for nothing.
He was a steal for any team. We tanked. We groomed him. Then we impatiently sent him packing when it was time to reap benefits. We kept saying "he can't shoot" while he worked on and improved his shot every year. It was bound to happen, and its only one half, but you can can see clearly that a lot of people's judgment was way off, including Magic's blunder. I'm so sick of hearing about max free agents we could chase. I'd take Randle straight up right now over PG. Julius on this squad now would be competing for a ring, now. |

True I think they really botched this one. We'll see but this Pelicans Front Court is excellent. Davis/Mirotic/Randle what a combo. |

Sucks things couldn’t work out. I wanted that lbj/jules finishing lineup too. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yep. Said that as soon as we let him go. This isn’t like DLo because that one was understandable and he was replaced with Hart, Zo.... We are going to wish we had Randle all year. |

Beautiful pass to Davis for the dunk, stops Harden on the other end, another beautiful pass for an alley-oop to Davis. Time out Houston. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

As much as I wanted him back it was a two way street. He asked to be released when the team offered a one year deal. Understandable for Jules as he sought some security. It is what it is. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

25/8/3 for Randle tonight and 2/4 from three.
And Payton with a triple double ... _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Not sure why people think Lebron is replacing Randle so it’ll be okay.
I think Lebron and Randle would have played well together, I’d give him all the minutes that Lance and Beasley would be playing. That would keep Kuz away from having to play the 5, and that would have kept us from having to pray for no injuries to Javale. |

If Julius had been two inches taller or showed signs of a reliable midrange and three ball, we would have paid him. If he develops this four years after the fact, it will be tragic for us, but it still was the right call.
We have LBJ, Ingram, and Kuzma at the four and he's not big enough to play center. Most good forwards would flourish playing next to AD and even Mirotic drawing away defense inside.
I said I wanted Sabonis over Julius and even after today, I think that was the right call. |

Did you even watch the game? That isn't why he played well. Aside from the two threes he hit, he did all the same stuff he did last year. Stop trying to rob him of credit after having an excellent game.
And he may not have the size of a traditional C, but he has Juggernaut strength and can bang with anyone in the paint. Look at the guy that GS is starting at C. He doesn't have the traditional size either. The pace the Lakers could've played with Randle at C would've been ridiculous. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And that's why this is our front office's blunder.
There's no reason why they should have given in, especially since they got nothing back in return. Not even his agent's good graces - Mintz hates us, couldn't even get a PG meeting for us. There was literally no upside to this for the Lakers when Magilinka were holding all the cards. They just folded. |

The team doesn't want to invest any money for more than one year in free agents other than stars like LeBron and they've clearly never had a high opinion of Randle.
Based on everything we've heard they're in love with Kuzma and he's on a cheap deal. |
