If Svi as a 47th pick can be a 8-9th man on the rotation, still worth it. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I see Svi as very similar to Sasha. Hopefully, he'll one day be able to translate more of his talent on the practice court to real games. I was waiting for Sasha to do the same every year he was here, and it never really happened. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

It took what 4 years before Sasha turned into a decent rotational player? I'm hopeful it doesn't take that long for Svi. _________________

Andrew Goudelock?
He reminds me a lot. I hope he can have a much better career. |

Goude was 6'3; Svi is 6'8. He has a much better chance as Goude's size prevented him from being effective in the NBA. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Sasha has a short wingspan too and more of a one trick pony. Svi can do a little bit of everything but I think he’s at his best if we used him primarily as a spot up shooter. Sasha did have a very good one year back in 2008 when I felt like he was automatic beyond the arc. His icewater veins swishing those clutch freethrows to clinch the title was forever be on Lakers lore. |

Yeah for the 46th pick we can afford to be patient. But I think next year, especially if some of these wing players move on, Svi can become a very good rotational player. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Sasha never showed the skills Svi did in the summer league. The ability to shoot off the dribble, step back 3's, slash to the hoop. Sasha had no wiggle to his game.
Of course Sasha did have one thing Svi will most likely not, Maria Sharapova!!! |

Svi is way better than Sasha. Sasha could not even hit regular spot up threes on a consistent basis without stepping on the line, much less rebound, dunk, board, pass and shoot step back three's. |

Lol if it is about purely on looks, NBA player should have at least 5 models orbiting around his planet and ready to get smash whenever a baller wants to. But Sasha pulling Maria Sharapova was an alpha move. There’s no gold digging . Sasha just had the game most likely. |

Svi has good size, better all round game, and modern game are more favorable to shooters. He has to work it out and work it out quickly. Lakers has really no time to wait for a 2nd round player. They would chase for championship asap |

As long as Svi hustles on defense and converts a trey or two I will be satisfied; Anything that we get from him is gravy. |

You would tend to believe Luke realizes his job security is not a guarantee for next season. I don't believe Magic/Pelinka would make a move during this season unless the bottom fell out.
Knowing this I would hope he plays the players he needs to win and not appease any one or two players whether they are veterans or the young core.
Svi has been mentioned as impressing during training camp and finally broke out in the last preseason game. Would be nice to see him given some run. |

They need to find Svi at least 10 minutes per game. I'd much rather see him on the floor than Lance or Beasley. |

His time is coming because we need a threat from deep. He may not play much but his shooting, at some point, will be needed. He also hustles on defense.
Hopefully he plays some tonight. |

There are no minutes for Svi. LeBron, Ingram and Kuzma should take every minute at pf and sf. The rotations should be shortened with a center added in imo. Let guys settle into a role. It's pretty obvious who the best players are. |

There will be minutes if we blow a team out or they blow us out.
Philly has already put Shamet in their rotation (my preferred choice for our first round draft pick) and he already has yielded dividends... 4 of 7 from three points last game. Shamet shot 44.2% playing for Wichita State.
Our Svi shot 44.4% from three for Kansas!
Kansas's strength of schedule last season... #2
Wichita State's... #50.
If Philly can put their rookie who was the #2 shooter in the NCAA in their rotation... surely we can put our rookie in who was #1... the question is whether Luke will wake up to his issue with 3 point shooting and give the kid a chance.
He played poorly during the preseason, so I can see why there is some worry... but there is no reason why we can't give him minutes, especially if we are comfortably ahead. He showed some of his potential that last game of preseason, and all throughout summer league. |

I think there can be some minutes for him. Play Lance a little less and KCP a little less, play Svi a little. If he's hot, play him more. If he's not, play him less. |
