Cut out the personal attacks and cut out the discussion about why people like certain players and not others. We're not here to talk about fans. We're here to talk about basketball. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

From the little I've watched of Lance, I think Pritchard's succinct evaluation of Lance will hold true: some nights he'll look like our best player, other nights he'll look like the other team's best player.
This is a guy who's played in some battles. I think there's a place for him in our rotation given that Luke keeps him on a short leash. |

That's a good player to have for 2nd/3rd unit |

I agree. And he brings a ruggedness that I think could really benefit this team. Young teams are seen as easy targets for bullying and intimidation. That won't be the case with Lance here. |

Lance has a fetish with palming the ball and faking it multiple times with one hand (that no defender seems to ever fall for).
I guess he thinks he's a poor mans poor man Jordan re-incarnate, with a bit of street ball for good measure.

I think he's a little to iso happy, he loves to make em dance.
But I like when he's getting buckets, if he could just find the right balance it would be perfect. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

To me, I see a guy that can potentially light a fire under the team any given night. He is a bench guy that is probably going to get 10-20mpg depending on the night and he's the kind of guy you need at least one of on your bench. Sure, he's going to have games where he iso's a bit too much or his shot is not falling but with his overall skill set if he was a consistent scorer and didn't make the mistakes here and there he'd be making a lot more money and starting somewhere.
I also see zero chance of any drama affecting the team from him.. zero.. He is nowhere close to being the one of the main core players so if the worst case scenario happens and he starts anything, the lakers cut him without hesitation imo.. I absolutely do not see that happening though as the entire team and most fans at games clearly love the guy.
Svi looked much better in the final pre-season game but the game is still clearly very fast for him and I think at minimum he should be getting heavy g-league minutes for the first half of the season and if at that point they feel he can be comfortable in the rotation then im all for it because he clearly has a bright future. |

Luke is going to lose us this game by playing Lance.
Lance doesn’t even hustle on D. |

Stephenson is here, that's a thing. But Luke needs to keep his minutes in check unless he's clearly feeling it. _________________ Under New Management |

Again, horrible use of our cap space when so many good players were available for around the same amount we spent on Lance. I will say this even after he has his "good"game
Boogie Cousins
Brook Lopez
Ed Davis
Mbah a Moute
Nwaba
A.Len
Elfrid Payton
Seth Curry
MCW
James Ennis
Napier
Heck I would have even took a 42 year old Vince Carter at the vets min over him _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

James Ennis or Seth Curry would've been good. Mmm Ed Davis |

As we all expected, our worst signing this off season. It still baffles me that we gave this guy the room exception. KCP for 12 mill was pretty bad too but hey, wink-wink Klutch. |

Honestly you could add both him and Corey Brewer at the vets min to the list of being better signings than Lance at 4.5M _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Swaggy was 417 out of 481 players in RPM last season. And Stephenson was 474 out of 481. _________________ Under New Management |

Should've used the money on Ed Davis or Nik Stauskas or Seth Curry. A player that we actually needed.
Luke better give Lance the Deng treatment going forward |

Addition by subtraction. Playing Wear or Caruso over him would help the team.
I'd rather have players that know their role and play within a team concept than Lance out there playing erratic on both sides of the court. |

I think Lance will be a 1 in 5 player. He'll have one decent game out of 5. The other games will be laughable, cringe-worthy and hopefully only invisible and not jaw-droppingly catastrophic. |

The moment he is eligible to be traded, the Lakers should look into moving him.
Stephenson and a 2nd for Dedmon would really help the Lakers. |
