It's alway fun to see how players size-up after the draft. There is no doubt both are sucesses, but we have our favorites. A lead type guard doesn't normally earn many minutes as a rookie, but both Farmar and Williams have done well.
Jordan Farmar has averaged 6.2ppg/1.7rpg/2.6apg/0.64spg/0.08bpg/1.08T.O./g in 18.2mpg 48.8%fg, 35.4%fg3pt.
Marcus Williams has averaged 7.0ppg/1.9rpg/2.8apg/0.46spg/0.04bpg/1.38T.O./g in 17.4mpg 39.5%fg, 25.0%fg3pt. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

True, Jordan is much more efficient in his shooting. Marcus has percentages more typical of rookie guards. Jordan has been putting up numbers more like a polished veteran guard, despite the fact that he's barely 20 years old. Marcus is 21. Jordan is developing into a deep threat too. Jordan has maturity beyond his years. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |
