This has nothing to do with Ariza or the likelihood of him being bought out. Just posted it here since it’s still in the lounge and tied to the Ariza trade.
After trade with Wizards, Suns agree to part ways with G Austin Rivers, per ESPN sources. Rivers – earning $12.6M in final year of deal – becomes a free agent upon clearing waivers. As a veteran, sides concluded Rivers fits better on an older team that's pursuing playoffs.
Let’s get him! =)
HECK NO!!!!!
Why the heck would anyone want Austin Rivers or a player like Austin Rivers in a Lakers uniform!?!?!
If we lose KCP, I’d rather get a pick and then add someone like Rivers.

So the Suns traded Ariza for a rental in Kelly Oubre? What was the Suns goal here? I thought they needed a PG and ended up dumping the combo guard and keeping another SF??? Mitch is that you?

Yeah, weird. Then they waived Austin Rivers who was the guard they got in the trade. I don't get it.

They did it because they wanted to screw the Lakers over. They didn't care who they got in a Trade.

Wouldn’t keeping Ariza accomplish the same thing? _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Nope because Ariza was disgruntled.. article out today he quit on the team. Cant have a lazy vet on a young team. It is unhealthy.

Huh? That doesn’t make any sense. They could have kept him and let him expire or traded him elsewhere for pieces they can actually use.

Same impact to us.
We aren’t victims of everything.
They could have had KCP but they went with rivers and Oubrey.
Then an article comes out they didn't want to help the Lakers.
To me that tells me they went with the wiz trade because they didn't want to help us

This has been mentioned well over a dozen times on here. They didn't want KCP. He plays the same position as Devin Booker.
Makes absolutely no sense.
Of course they don't want to help the Lakers.
But trading Ariza to the Wizards for the sole purpose of screwing the Lakers makes no sense. We didn't get screwed, and they could have accomplished the same thing by not trading him at all.
Tbh the Suns weren’t going to do much better than Oubre for Ariza.
The wizards? I still think it was dumb from their perspective. Oubre could have been used to acquire a pick and get a head start on the inevitable current roster blow up.
