We'd win the title this year if we had this PG and the rest of our team. What a dumbass. |

Here's another question - is Westbrook having a great year?
Triple double still.
20.1 avg
10.3 assist
10.8 reb
42.3 fg%
23.6 3fg%
60.8 FT%
I guess this would be a great year for anyone else except Westbrook? |
It depends on if you think efficiency matters. |

Westbrook will be remembered for winning an MVP, while George probably never will.
Ultimately, Westbrook has probably devalued the triple-double. Over the last few years, we've seen a lot of commentary about how it's an overrated and meaningless stat. |
I think there is an argument for that being true....but at the same time, he is still the only one doing it. |
He's also the only one:
1) actively trying to do it, that also....
2) .. plays on a team where they scheme/plan to help him do it
I have zero doubts that LeBron could avg a trip dub if he wanted to AND Lakers coaches/players schemed to give him extra rebounds off missed FT's, give him other uncontested rebounds, let him sag off perimeter defenders to chase boards and let him dominate the ball to rack up assists.
There are probably less than 10 players who could do that in the ideal situation, if even that many. But no other team actively assists one of their players to ag a trip dub. |

Man, Westbrook has 24 pts, 24 assists, 13 reb
One of the best games I've ever seen him play. Just dropping dimes all game. |

Yeah, I have a doubt that LeBron could actually avg 10 reb per game.
Westbrook's motor is unmatched in the NBA. Dude has a nonstop motor. LeBron is kinda lazy.
The next guy to avg a triple double might be Ben Simmons.
And re: the Thunder scheming for Westbrook to get rebs:
Paul George is avg 8 reb, his highest in his career
OKC is avg the most offensive reb in the NBA
2nd most total reb in the NBA
And Steven Adams is avg a career high 10.2 reb a game
So I don't know if they're scheming just for Westbrook to get rebs. |

I would say he's having a good year, given his really bad shooting. I think you could only categorize it as a great year if you get entranced by nice round numbers, which is really all a triple double is.
Westbrook's 20-10-10 catches our eye in a way that Jokic's 19-10-8 doesn't but I'd say Jolic is having the better season of the two. |

I’ve always thought it might be that the Lakers changed targets and let him spin it as his idea. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Does Westbrook make All NBA this year? As I understand it, there are 2 guards on each team, so 6 guards are chosen for the 3 All NBA teams?
1) Harden
2) Curry
3) Lillard
4) Kyrie
5) Kemba
I think those 5 are locks. The following are fighting for the last guard spot. Who would get it? Westbrook still looks the strongest out of that group to me.
Westbrook
Jamaal Murray
De'Aaron Fox
Buddy Hield
Zach LaVine
Jrue Holiday
Mike Conley
Ben Simmons
Bradley Beal
Devin Booker
Jimmy Butler
Donovan Mitchell
Klay Thompson
DeMar DeRozan
CJ McCollum
Victor Oladipo |

Oladipo or Simmons for me. Depends on where OKC finishes probably. If they end up 7th or 8th despite PG 13 playing great, Westbrook could miss out. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

It was either that or Ockham’s Razor, and after he saw how the team treated all his fellow clients of his agent, he decided they weren’t where he should put his loyalty. _________________ “We must always take sides.
