Watching Klay drop his first 10 3's on us got my gears churning. Purely hypothetical but if the 3 pointer didn't exist, do you guys think Warriors would still be the best team in the league? _________________ When you do something that you truly, truly love doing, you find yourself wanting to do it all the time.
Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael |

If the 3-point shot didn't exist, the Warriors as they are currently composed wouldn't exist either. |

If the backboard didn’t exist, do you think Tim Duncan would have 5 rings? |

Without a 3 point shot, the NBA would revert back to high percentage post play being much more important. Spacing would decline as the defense would be fine if you wanted to shoot from 20+ feet.
Jahlil Okafor would actually be a good player without a 3 point line... |

"If the three point shot doesn't exist ... ?"
But it does. It has for almost forty years. It's an element of the game that's influenced tactics and rules ever since.
You might as well wonder what the team like the Showtime Lakers would been forty years before they did exist, when no players of color were hired by NBA clubs. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”

If they played without a ball, wouldn’t all games end 0-0? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Yeah, they'd still be hitting tons of shots and playing good defense. |
