Caruso has played well and should have been the backup pg choice over Stephenson. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

4 who could be creative in the short-roll. Grab&go. Have space to hit pop 3s, attack those closeouts really well. And he’s an active defender

Does he have a slight chance to develop into a Greek freak type of player? _________________ Previously LBJ23

He has a similar build to Pascal Siakam, though PS was 4+ years older when drafted and a good 30lbs heavier. Bonga appears to have better guard skills by age.

I don't know what Pascal did, but in College he only had Center skills. Lol, but had potential. _________________ Previously LBJ23

That’s the upside and archetype I see. Mix with a Little draymond/Odom where he will grab the board and go.

Much higher upside I believe. The strongest similarity is the passing but Bonga more resembles Ball in having that innate passing vision and delivery.
Really good with floaters in the paint with either hand and picking the lane to drive to the basket (Ball can learn from him in both these aspects).
Should also develop into a threat from 3 on high usage.
Of significance he played PG on the German Jr. National team for 2-3 years so the wing foundation skills is there.

Not sure this kid is gonna be anything more than a fringe guy back and forth between gleague/NBA but we need him to considering the Svi and Mo draft pick disasters.

We can see a lot of tools: he has good vision, his shot is not broken, good handles, good BBIQ... he needs to put it all together, but his improvement since Summer League is remarkable. My only frustration is that he didn't show anything when given some garbage time at the top team.
He needs to work on his body, add some strength and some bounce. I believe he can develop into a nice point forward. _________________ ....

Seeing what Siakam has been doing, if Bonga can put on some significant muscle I could see a modern PF type.

Significant muscle?
If Ingram could get significant muscle... but he doesn’t
If Zo so could shoot... but he can’t.
And so on...
Bonga, he's not close to contributing at a high level. Will
he ever be? don't know. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! Last edited by deal on Sat Jun 01, 2019 4:45 pm; edited 1 time in total

It's way too early to figure out what Bonga is gonna be. He's still 19. He needs 2-3 more years. Siakam had 2 years of college and was drafted at age 22. Hopefully he spends most of next year as a development player again.
Bonga may end up getting traded for cap space anyway.

Hope he does not get traded. Would rather include Mo first.....wasted pick. More money as well to add to a trade.

Floor - Giannis
Ceiling - Lebron
I think he'll be somewhere in between.
