Right, I should be looking at 2019-2020. My bad. Although if I remember correctly, a cap expert did espouse that Ball + 4th + Hart/Kuz would comply with the salary requirements. |

There shouldn’t be a need to give up the farm. It’s a one year deal without many suitors for a player with injury history. One hard fall and LA just dumped the whole young core for another lottery team.
LA should be able to walk out of this with Ingram or Zo. If they MUST perhaps Kuzma but something else should be coming back to LA then

While BI + Lonzo + 4th is not a bargain deal for AD its also not a bad one either. AD is easily a top 10 player in the NBA... Ball BI #4 is fair market value in my book. |

actually the Lakers can also trade for AD and then eject the salary of all stragglers except Kuzma by trading them for picks and no salary in return to open up enough space that would be very close to a max slot
