So there's a real chance we sign DLo as the 3rd guy? That's hysterical. |

We have a chance to get D'lo back who is only 23 and we could build around him and AD for the foreseeable future yet some prefer Beverly, Collison or Bojan instead...lol |

We could have signed Lopez.
Randle wanted a multiyear deal.
He got a 1+1 in NO. Lakers could not have given him the same deal and risk not having cap space for a max free agent. |

an if we are unable to clear enough space for a full max guy this summer, those decisions will even look worse. The current calamity would not be possible if we could have included Randle in the trade. |

DLO for around 22 will allow us to sign a good role player as well. And with AD and DLO post Bron era, I won't be concerned about the picks and swaps we owe to the Pels. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

What makes Bojan worth that much? Serious question, because I really don’t understand what he brings to the table other than great shooting (not much else on offense) and subpar defense. For that much money, you need to be getting more. Korver at the minimum gives us the same skill set at a fraction of the price? |
Agree. Paying that much for a bench shooting is just counter productive. |

I would feel better, but still concerned....if I was a GM, I would never be without a draft pick more than 3 years (2 1st Round Picks) out ever.....ever. |

If you phrase it to say that the Lakers likely have three of their next first round picks, it feels much better |

Looking at DLo's advanced stats on defensive. Looks like he made a pretty big jump last year. Don't think he will be a shut down defender at any time in his career, but definitely think there is room for improvement to be serviceable on that end. |

The Lakers have basket-ed their eggs. AD is the cadbury. Basketball is a business and gambles are a part of it. I think this is a good gamble. IMO AD will be around for awhile. He's a player that can be built around and he's young and talented enough to take the bet. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

You compared Bojan to Korver ... oh my! |
Just to add some info, Bojan's TS% in the last three seasons 61.7%, 60.6%, 61.3%. Anything north of 60% is elite. There are 15 players in the league who are non-bigs that play 20+ mpg who shoot over 60% (including Curry, Harden, Durant and Kawhi). Bojan does it without the benefit of having a star player setting him up (or being one himself). |

If we had kept either Zo or Garland, I would have been happy to sign Bojan or Brogdon.
I just don't know if those players work without LBJ playing heavy minutes.
And if he goes down... forget it. |

I don't think of Russell as the "Third Guy" as much as a good younger player that can be part of a talented roster. To me it's more of a splitting the cap room strategy than a 3rd max strategy, even if we're looking at him as a premium player. |

I could see DLO taking less for the chance to play with LBJ/AD. I think he'd look really good playing with those two.

AD. Lebron. DLo. Kuz. Seriously people. That’s 4 scorers that can win games by themselves. All are capable of getting hot and willing us to wins. 4 guys. Seriously. Add some cheap vets that can eat minutes and a few young defensive players. Young athletic players that can lock up are all over the place. We had Nwaba. There is tons of those guys.
Sign Dlo for 18. Sign Pat Bev for 8. Seth for 5. Morris for MLE. Resign McGee and Muscala. Resign Bullock and you have a championship team. _________________ You mystified at what exists inside

We could always give him a 3+1 and allow him to re-enter free agency at 26, coming off of three years where playing with LBJ/AD might very well raise his value. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

True that, he’s gonna sign with a team that gives him the most money and maximized his ability. Most likely he want to set himself for another next big contract . If the Lakers can give him that(hopefully not) he’ll come here. |

Playing for 22 M plus endorsements in LA with a contender Laker team sounds ways better than say 25 M at Minnesota. Especially for a player who said it's a blessing to play in LA and NY market when he was traded. I don't think DLO have places like Minnesota as top priority. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |
