How many times do you wear your jeans before washing them? Kinda random but I'm curious. I wash them once every week. |

Only if I they get stained somehow or they're sitting close to the washing machine and I have some extra room for the next load. So yeah, anywhere between 3 - 5 sounds about right. |

that depends, if I wear them ALL day -- probably 2-3 times. if I'm just wearing them for half the day, 3-5 times. and if I wear them out to the bar -- one and done. _________________ "I define success by championships, by winning..." Kobe Bryant

After two 'wears', they get washed... typically....
But it really depends if I'm going 'commando'....

Never. I have pairs that I've never wash since purchasing 5 years ago. Now to think of it, I haven't had any pairs of jeans washed for the past 6 years (since graduating from college). Own close to 40 pairs. But only wear about 5 at any given moment. If you'd like more info on washing jeans, I refer you to Supertalk click Superdenim. Do a search. There should be a thread dedicated on washing and caring for jeans.
Reason why some people don't wash their jeans is because they want the indigo dye of the jeans to fade naturally. Creating a natural "washed" look. But it takes time to "break-in" the jeans.
It's all a matter of preference. If somebody pays 1500+ for a pair of bespoke jeans from R by 45 Rpm, they wouldn't want a machine to wash off the natural hand dyed indigo.
All in all, I refer you to that forum because there are plenty of denim fanatics out there for almost every brand. Though most of the threads there are dedicated to Japanese denim. Enjoy. _________________ RIP mamba |

I have about 8 pairs of jeans, but I seriously only use about 3-4 pairs. The other ones rot away in my drawer until I get too lazy to wash the ones I currently wear.
But I usually rotate the 3-4 pairs every day... so I wash them every 2 weeks. But yeah, also like chef says. If they stink early somehow, then I won't wear them until it's washed. _________________

I usually wash them after about 3-4 wears. Sometimes they knee area gets a little loose and baggy looking from sitting or whatever... so I'll toss them in the washer to 'tighten' things back up again. Make sense? _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

I use to take all my graphic t-shirts and jeans to the dry cleaners. It became too costly man, so no, you're not the only one that does that. |

Jeans last a long time if you wash them in cold water and you hang dry them. The dryer will just destroy a pair of jeans. |

Oh ok, I was about to say! I kept reading on how everyone washes their jeans and I was like "Huh? I take mine to the cleaners so they can 'so fresh and so clean'" LOL! And yeah, it can get a bit pricey, but I have about 12 pairs of jeans so I don't have to take them that often. _________________

I never ever wash my jeans and I only own a few pairs. Pay too much for the color they have when I buy them. If they really really start to wreak, as in if I gag while I tie my shoes, I'll drop them off at the cleaners
So no, it's not a black thing. |
