For the veteran minimum it is a good signing. Being on the court with Kawli, James and Davis should do wonders for his production.
With Phoenix, though, he was a weak player on a weak team. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
Shoots 4.4 threes a game over his 6 year career, never shooting below .364 in a single season. High of .484 in 43 games on 2.8 attempts a game for in 2015-2016. Consistently great FT shooter. Vast, vast majority of his threes are assisted, which is a plus. Career .506 shooter from the corner.
Can't wait for him to record career lows for us next season.
very good value signing. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

Nice shooter, but defensively he's a mess. Every year in the league a big negative in DBPM.
If you use him in limited minutes as a floor spacer then I think that's fine. Rely on him to play too much he'll hurt you. He will occasionally have a nice game. But I have a Lance Stephenson feeling about him that I'll also want to smash the TV at times too.

No one can "sign" until July 6th...
All these FA's "signings" are in reality just "agreeing on a offer"! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
Gotta have him out there each game for 12-14 minutes. And Cook. Need those 3 point shooters to make teams pay. I envision middle of the 2nd Q and 4th Q, being the moments in the game where Cook and Daniels show their value. Especially if Lebron/AD are out there. Those floor spacers will get so many easy looks. Gotta make teams pay, if they don't respect our 3 point shooters and help on AD/LBJ.
I don't want us to be a high volume 3 point shooting team, but I definitely want Danny Green, Quinn Cook and Troy Daniels taking 15 three pointers a game (combined). Rest of the team, should limit themselves to looking for a better shot. I'd like to get to 22-25 three pointers at most as a team. Too much 3 point shooting works against our size and speed limitation to get back on D, and too little 3 point shooting will make us unable to score high enough or spread the floor appropriately around LBJ/AD. However IMO not just Green, but Cook and Daniels also need to be regulars in the 9 man rotation.
It seems like a good signing.
For Daniels can shoot well, and this is not easy to find. Especially those FTs.
Can put him a game and he can hit those winning FTs.
Handy and Vogel should improve his defense.
And he will have AD and McGee guarding the rim.

As long as we don't play them as the same time. Otherwise, it'll be Christmas morning...for the opposing team.

You could probably pair Cook with Green, and Daniels with Bradley. Gives you a good shooting backcourt in each pairing. With 4 guards like that, you're probably good for 15-18 three point shot attempts a game, and they will be quality looks from quality shooters. Only Bradley isn't as consistent a shooter of those 4, but he is capable. Can't say enough how important it is for the team to have these guys out there, so the floor is spread out well and teams pay for leaving their man to help on AD/LBJ.
Caruso is a wild card for the Lakers. He was a 40% three point shooter last year, and has some defensive effort and skill. If he's capable to maintain a respectable catch and shoot number of makes, he's another guard I would trust in the rotation with Lebron/AD. Rondo, IMO should get minutes when Lebron is off the floor, so we make up for some the playmaking lost. Otherwise IMO all the other guards are more valuable role players.
Lets assume Lebron/AD play about 28 minutes together, and the rest of their minutes come apart. Those 28 minutes they do play together. I'd definitely have 2 reliable quality shooters out there with them at all times. So Danny Green/Troy Daniels. Quinn Cook/Caruso or Bradley.
What makes him a good signing is his elite shooting.
His defense is probably not as good, as then he would not have signed for the minimum.
But he did play for poor defensive teams before. With the Lakers if he
can play good team defense he will work out.
