give him 4 shooters, Cook/Daniels, Dudley, Kuz, Boogie |

We will need your leadership and playmaking and I hope you prove everyone wrong.
I hope we compensate you later on down the road by hiring you as a coach or providing you with endorsement opportunities. |
Yes I’m the only few here that still believe he will thrive on his role as floor general whenever Lebron sits. Regardless if he’s playing well, him and Lebron should not even be on the same unit. If he happen to control the game for us and let Lebron rest then I’m all for it.
Not really concern about those net negative stats especially on meaningless games . He’s a role player at this point on vet minimum. That’s like 3rd stringer contract anyway. |

I like all of the other signings except for this one. Guy plays 0 defense, makes lots of careless passes/turnovers but likely think he is a starter. Would rather have Caruso take his minutes. |

Im not saying I want to see Rondo over Caruso, mainly because of defense. Caruso for sure is much more careless with the basketball however. |

^ Rondo averaged more turnovers per minute than Caruso (yes I know not a perfect stat)
and why did we give him a 2 year contract? Im sure his market value didnt dictate that and its now like we owed him anything. If anything he owed us after overpaying him 9mil last season _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Ultimately, it doesn't really matter. He's only making the vet min so we could cut him and it will have no really effect except costing the Lakers some money. |

AST:TO
Rondo: 2.9
Caruso: 1.8
Can't just look at turnovers and overlook assists. |

A lot of people like Rondo, the thing is we didn’t get to see Playoff Rondo last year, I think this year we will finally see Playoff Rondo. |

Clearly AD likes him. I think he will likely be the floor general of the second unit, when Lebron sits. Those 6-7 minute stretches where Lebron will rest, that is when Rondo has to come on strong and keep the offense rolling, finding players the ball in their strong spots. |

Rondo is a proven assist maker. No other PG can do that on a consistent basis. Perhaps his bad defense can be hidden..
Rondo is a nice weapon to have in your back pocket. Lebron is the only other playmaker on the team so Rondo is valuable in that regard.
Also, he comes alive at playoff time. Just have to make it there without
injuries. |

AD liked Cousins too. If our yardstick is going to be who AD likes, the second round of the playoffs might be our destination. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Rob covered every base be possibly could
First traded for the superstar HOF big that has 5 prime years ahead
Second went for the best player in the game that makes us a 2-3 peat possible team
Third when second goal failed tried to fill every role possible with proven players
Once Cousins goes down we get Dwight. Not standing pat.
Rondo is not a core player on a contender anymore but he could be a floor general for a second unit that will need someone to create shots for them with Lebron sitting. Even so Caruso was kept and Cook brought in to try and take those minutes from Rondo. But you can’t go into a NBA season trying to win a ring without at least one proven NBA point guard and that’s why Rondo was kept. If things go well he barely plays if things go bad for Caruso and Cook then we can lean on Rondo more. |

While I agree that it is a step in the right direction ... that can not be the benchmark for success.
This team is built to win now. James’ window is closing ( how fast is the debate) and anything less then a Championship is a failure.
All the moves and signings have not been done to just make the playoffs and keep tweaking a flawed roster every year. Rondo is among the one year signings. He has to contribute this year.
The Lakers fo not have that luxury of simply contending and building. It’s Championship or Bust! |

Lol who's that dude that turned around and gave Rondo the frustrated look after he knocked the ball out of his hands? Classic. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I bet Rondo would kick ass if we let him have smoke breaks and a shot or two during the games |

Probably, but he's a bad NBA player and shouldn't be getting more than Marcelo Huertas minutes let alone starting on a team with any aspirations of being good. _________________ Under New Management |
