Knew he was a bust this year. Guy is a head case, and I avoided him in all my leagues since his talent no longer outweighs the headache. |
I appreciate AB's effort to get himself to the Patriots. Power move.

Hadn't heard about the wave/cut portion, but not a surprise at all. |

Had a family emergency yesterday and ended up missing the LG league draft... I don't even want to look at my team yet.
We play : QB / 2RB / 2WR / 1TE / 1FLEX / Kicker / DEF
QB: Rivers / Winston
RB: Chubb / Fournette / Aaron Jones / Miles Sanders
WR: Julio Jones / Diggs / Alshon Jeffrey / Allen Robinson / Geronimo Allison / Desean Jackson
TE: Delanie Walker / Trey Burton
K: (empty)
DEF: Rams |
(bleep) I might take that over my team in my 8 team league. That's a really solid team. |

Ecch.... started Aaron Jones over Allen Robinson tonight. Who knew? My opponent started Montgomery and Davante Adams, so I don't feel too bad. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

I scraped 10 points out of Cohen tonight. Could be worse. Will be worse. |

Can't believe how awful Nagy was tonight with the offensive calls for the Bears. Montgomery had 1 touch after halftime...ONE! And he made a splash play on a catch. The game was close the entire time. I just don't understand it. Even if he wasn't going to be a workhorse, which I was hoping for, they barely played him in the second half. It just makes no sense at all.
Tough night for Montgomery owners. Trubisky owners, too, if he's your backup or in 2-QB leagues. As for A-Rob owners, he could have had an absolutely monstrous game if Trubisky wasn't so terrible. He appears to have carried over his finish to last season. He looks similar to the beastly WR he was in Jacksonville before his injuries. |

Oops | For real. It was just an awful game for everyone involved minus Robinson. I had Adams too.. But mostly I dont understand why Montgomery had so few touches.. He had a nice catch and seemed to make plays whenever he touched the ball. I dont get it. Whatever. At least silver lining is Robinson looks to be in good form which bodes well for my flex position. First game of the season..Long ways to go still |

Nagy was terrible. I despise play callers who think that they are smarter than the game. And Nagy wasn’t that guy last season. 3rd and less than 1, you run the ball. Not some trick play where your QB gets stuffed. That was the game. At least the Bear D got me 19 points. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

They also had a 3rd and 1 and they correctly ran it....
... but with Cordarrelle Patterson.
Wut. Why. |

Which QB would you guys start for Week 1: Cam Newton or L Jackson? This is a tough decision for me. |

Cam will probably have to throw a lot to keep up with the Rams offense. |

Depends.
If I need a high floor I go Lamar.
If I need a high ceiling I go Cam. |

You don't think Lamar has a higher ceiling playing against Miami? |

If I need a high ceiling I go Cam. | I'm in a similar situation. Trying to decide between Lamar and Dak. Montgomery getting me only 5 points last night has me chasing points and I would think Lamar has the higher ceiling in this situation. |

Andrews. Reed is probably not even going to play. Even still, Andrews, as Reed would be at risk for immediate re-injury, plus Philly's TE coverage is pretty stout. |

As for Lamar or Cam, that's really close. Cam is supposed to be 100% after the preseason ankle sprain, but if you want to use that as a tiebreaker (risk of re-injury), go ahead and play Lamar. Lamar has that rushing floor plus plausible upside too. Cam has a much higher passing floor, however. |

I dont see Lamar as a high ceiling guy at all. And I actually change my recco. Play Cam for floor and ceiling.
Cam can throw and run. Lamar can only run.
Well, at least based on last year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m firing Lamar up in DFS cash games but in season long, I dont know how you dont play Cam. |

No because I only see Lamar running a lot if they are slightly behind.
If they are ahead you pound it with Ingram/Edwards.
If they’re behind a lot, he’ll have to throw and I havent seen him do that well enough to rely on it. |

Thats a very good point. If Ravens go up like I expect them to, they probably won't have Lamar doing much work. Hmmm...
How about this one. Pick one in half PPR
Duke Johnson @ NO
Calvin Ridley @ Min
Curtis Samuel v LAR |
