Is lebron trying out there? I dont get what the plan is with him because he cant be this lackadaisical against elite teams. AD was a (bleep) monster tonight.
Watching our defense is a thing of beauty. This is where Vogel is valuable.
Vogel was a good hire. I don't care what ESPN say
This game (and last) were the kind of games a guy who cant really coach (sorry Luke) would find a way to frustrate us fans and have us screaming at TV as to why we cant put that team away with 2 minutes left in the game.
Vogel getting them, so far, in a habit of putting these teams away in second half. Hoping they get out of this slow start habit though. If they play 48 minutes the way they played from mid-third on, this team will wreck folks.

He sat Lebron for pretty much the whole 3rd quarter and allowed AD to be the sole focus point. Would Luke have done that? HA!

He’s pacing and deferring to AD which is fine.
Needs to cleanup the turnovers though.
Definitely pacing himself. You can tell on how he scores in spurts when needed. But look like he’s more focus on getting his team mates more involved in the first half.

I like how he is basically trying to do what D'antoni did with Harden and Paul: Always have at least 1 on the floor. From what I can see, he likes to start them off together, end second quarter together, start third together, and finish (if close) together. In between all that he subs one out and keeps other in. I think Luke would avoid that because "having them both together gives us the greatest advantage". And we'd be watching leads diminsh and screaming at our bench.

He’s not really doing the hockey subs that Luke was so infamous for. Vogel is making a point of keeping one of AD and Lebron on the floor if possible, and mixing and matching the starters and benches instead of doing wholesale lineup subs for extended minutes.

The Lakers have the best point differential in the NBA so far, and, in a most welcome development, we're 8th in free throw percentage (just a tick under 80%). I guess AD's turn at the line tonight helped with that LOL. Seriously though, I can't tell y'all how frustrating it was over the past few years to have such a crappy free throw-shooting team out there, just giving free points (literally) away!
Didn't get to watch the whole game, but AD is simply amazing. Hurt shoulder, gametime decision to come back in the game.. and finishes with 40/20! Great defensive effort in the second half to rout these young Grizzlies.
While I'm happy with the win, they gotta do something about these slow starts. While it's great that our squad is talented enough to run away with the game in the second half, I can't wait until we start putting away these inferior teams earlier in the game.
Hopefully Coach can make some adjustments to the starting lineup if this keeps up.
The obvious, AD was amazing. Dude was on pace for 50 and 30 if he played the 4th lol.
Proud of the Laker fans last night. It was the loudest I've heard a Laker Staples Center Crowd in quite awhile. Standing Ovations for anything AD did.
MVP Chants were nice and loud. Brought me back to the Kobe days. Lebron got some loud MVP chants last season as well. AD's still seemed louder.
Vogel makes great substitutions. The players seem like they really respect his IQ and are fully invested into his system.
Leading back to the team. It looks like they genuinely like each other. Lebron and Dwight goofing around on the bench reminds me of their Mcdonalds commercial back in the day.
Kuz chilling on the bench and looks like he can't wait to get back on court. Same goes for Demarcus who was in good spirits and having fun with Lebron on the bench as well. They seem like they're pretty close. Maybe Vogel is right and Boogie might be back playoff time.

I am incorrectly blacked out for Memphis games so even on NBAtv I couldn't watch or see it until it reaired this morning on NBAtv. Luckily I avoided the bottom ticker until it went away from the scores but to end the half I saw AD had 40 but I don't consider that spoiling the game because it was still close at that point and I didn't know the actual final score until I watched it.
Wow. That game was entertaining. AD is a freak and I think LBJ finally has the guy he has wanted for years to teach and to pass on the team to when its time. That stat line in 3 quarters?
