Went to Ports O' Call in San Pedro yesterday (Friday), have no been there for 20 years, it was not very crowded, not much going on there, expensive (but very fresh) seafood, $6.50 for a Pacifico..
Nothing to special, probably would not go back anytime soon... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

Have the fires just became a part of normal SoCal life? It looks crazy on television, and the "Tick" fire appears to be in the area, yet do not see a mention on LG.

Fire season is just one of the seasons in California.

it closes in a couple of days. The site will be used for a google building
Sad to see it go, but it had been an obsolete ghost of itself for many years.
At least now the Google project is highly likely to boost property values in the area in an economy that is on the brink of recession . . .

Frontier Air Newark-Ontario coming soon under 100 bucks (supposedly)
200 round? I'd fly on frontier for that deal
Actually I wouldn't fly to Newark, if you paid me $200...
(wait, maybe this should be in the "Controversial Opinions" thread)...lol _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
My wife & I are going to get out of the house for three days (first time all year, after canceling multiple planned trips due to COVID), and settled on La Jolla. It's within driving distance -- no way we're flying right now -- and a good place to get away for a while. After doing a bunch of research on accommodations, including COVID precautions, I booked an Ocean View Premium suite at Pantai Inn.
Next comes dining. Fortunately my favorite San Diego restaurant -- Juniper & Ivy -- is taking appropriate precautions, so we're eating there one night. Now I need to figure out our other meals -- open during COVID, but taking appropriate precautions, and of course good food and ambiance in proximity to the hotel. Any recommendations? My first thought was The Marine Room, but they're closed due to COVID. Anything else?
In addition to one more dinner, also looking for brunch/lunch spots, and the option for takeout/delivery to the hotel. I know there's an Eddie V's nearby, so that's one option.
