IMO, he is kind of a young, poor man version of Carmelo Anthony. He needs the ball in his hands and thrives in isolation. In this regard, we are not using him where he is good at. |
Are you gambling on Lebron and AD staying healthy and playing every game? That is where you see the value of a 3rd scoring option. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

We were gambling on then staying healthy the moment we moved the kids for AD and lost out on Kawhi. |

Having a 3rd scoring option is important, while Kuz appears to be struggling, I am just lamenting the fact that the team has not put him in position where he can use his skills effectively, which is unfortunate.
On the bright side, we are winning games and if it aint broken, don't fix it. But in the long run, I do want to see Kuz to feature more in the offense which should help come playoff time. |

I feel like Kuzma's the type where if he strings 3 15+ point games in a row, he'll be back to normal |

Hope he realizes soon that regardless of the excuses his current body of work is not enough. Maybe while he was sick he threw up a bunch of his own hype he's been eating.
For a guy that picks the brains of legends you have to assume he notices how a balding Carushow is out trending him.
Watching how tightly he grips his ego/popularity to drag him down further before he starts playing loose again. _________________ KOBE!!! |

I thought Kuzma would be third in scoring on this team, but not necessarily our 3rd option. |

Our third options are Rondo and Bradley. That's what was available, if we wanted to sign other players who are defenders, and can shoot reasonably well. |

Any balding white guy who can dunk like that is going to out-trend any third option on any team, any time (even if Kuzma were our third option). |

If AD or Lebron miss games, then Kuzma will start and get a lot more usage, touches and shots. We may not win at the same rate, actually we definitely will not, but say AD misses 10 games, you could easily see Lebron slide over to 4 and Kuzma start at 3 and give us 15 points a night in that situation. He is not a great player but I think you're selling him short here. He can score in volume touches. The problem is throughout his short NBA career he has had them and now he's getting role player touches. Put him back in that 2nd/3rd option role he would be as a starter without AD and I guarantee he will put up 15-17 points easy in 30 minutes. So he could fill in for Lebron or AD, and we would probably be able to get .500/.600 ball out of the team in that stretch without AD. That's his main value actually. He can score, and when we have an injury he is probably the only one on the team to be able to start for a Lebron or AD and give the team 15-20 points taking 15 shots. Danny Green, KCP, Bradley, etc. they are all quality role players and better in value than Kuzma as role players. Now change that into a 2nd option, I think Kuzma has value. |

We don’t have a third option. |
