I think it is funny how people think Dion is the only player in the league to consume/use cannabis. Many players use it and it will be legal in the league within the next few seasons _________________ "Friends can come and go, but banners hang forever" -KOBE |

We really don't have a guy like that on this roster. |
Love the "break glass" analogy.
I say why not? Daniels isn't getting any run and won't anytime soon. Why not have him on the bench and use him in limited mins |
Exactly. I know highlights can make anyone look great, but if you pull up a few of his, it's clear he has shot creation and shot making skills that none of our guards have. |

I think we're trying to determine if he can mentally accept his role on the team if he comes. Part of the reason he got shipped out of Cleveland (for JR Smith no less haha) is because he couldn't accept his role next to Lebron.
If he can convince us he can, it's almost a done deal. His skills are there |

Yeah, them waiting it out like this and making him come work out clearly shows they are getting input from Bron an probably AD along with obviously the coaching staff so if he can make it past all those layers i'm extremely happy with the signing as it means they have some legit confidence in him all around.
He's not even essential anyways but would be some great depth for sure and a potential cheap solid signing for next year if things work out well. |

The thing about Dion is that, by all reports, he's going to have to gain LeBron's trust and support in order to be signed. If that happens, I'm comfortable with it, as Bron knows this team's chemistry better than anyone and obviously would think Dion won't be a cancer |
Agreed, if LeBron signs off on the Dion Waiters signing then I trust his judgement. |
Whatever LeBron wants. Just do it. |
They also played together, so I'm sure he can keep him in check? He looked serviceable in those three games he played for the Heat. |
The fact that they played together is more of a detriment, actually. It didn't go well at all. LeBron was fully committed to mentoring him and helping him become great, but Waiters was an arrogant knucklehead and didn't want to listen to anyone. LeBron eventually just gave up and so did the org. That's why they traded him so early in the season (around December I believe). He's got an uphill battle to climb to prove himself to LeBron after that, let alone AD and Rondo after the kind of season he's had. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. But not everyone consumes edibles on team flights and suffers panic attacks. When was the last time you heard of something like that happening? It just shows an incredible amount of immaturity. Dwight is proof that guys can change after they've screwed up, but Dwight had hit rock bottom and is a lot older than Waiters is. I get that he could be useful and give this team another gear in multiple areas, but I'd rather roll with the team we have if he's not truly committed. Kobe's death just added another layer to the pressure of winning it all this year. Is he really ready for this? _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. You guys realize Waiters was basically kicked off the Heat team this season right?
It took Dwight years and a lot of failure to really mature. Waiters is in no way in the same situation. If he wanted to change, he could have shown contrition on the Heat.
I don’t see this guy fitting in at all. He’s a diva. |

Obviously he was as it's the only reason he is available otherwise there's zero chance he'd be sitting mid season not on a roster considering his solid talent and age.
He'll be brought in on a minimum contract and released without thinking twice if he does anything plus he'll have to get an ok from players and coaches. Not much risk at all imo if he passes the workout, we're talking about someone who will be towards end of the bench for more depth. |

I can’t remember him ever having a good game against the Lakers. They’re not going to sign him. |

I just watched some of his highlights. I’m not impressed one bit. He’s seems slow and not very athletic at all. _________________ I speak Emoji |

Same here. Reminded me a bit of THT. We better not waive THT for this guy. _________________ “God knew they couldn’t be on this Earth without each other. He had to bring them home to have them together.” – Vanessa Bryant |

I'd rather have Troy sit on the bench than get a loose cannon to sit on the bench. Whose minutes is he gonna get, the Bald Eagle's because it will surely not be Rondo's. No to this chemistry destroyer. |

How is Dion in the locker room? That's my concern.
Also this:
Quote: | Hmm... 12 man roster eh? |
If you watched last night's Inside the Green Room episode, Jared and Danny said they were glad Lakers didn't make any trades because the chemistry in the locker room was one of the best they've ever been a part of. They also mentioned that the coach have rotations still in flux and that they would hope the rotation would get set sooner rather than later so they would be more comfortable with their roles come playoff time. _________________
