If the Lakers win we will be up 7 in the loss column and will allow us to experiment with our rotations and give LBJ and AD immediate rest. In addition when we meet them for the 4th time in April the pressure will be off and it really won't matter if we win or lose (Though winning and evening the series at that point would be much better than going down 0-4).
We hear from nearly everyone that the Clippers are a superior team with superior depth and talent. With a win this would help silence some of the supporters. Also, the Laker players need this win to truly validate themselves as the #1 team in the NBA. In addition it would give the Clippers some doubt as they approach the playoffs.
If there ever was a true statement game with multiple implications, this is it. |

Yes. We will be 49-13, Clippers 43-20. Even if we went 13-9, they would have to go 19-0 to gain top seed in West. Depending on how many Clippers losses follow, say 3 or 4, we could have top seed locked up with 12,13 games to go and sit Lebron and AD, or play them just a quarter or two a game. The Raptors game on March 24th will probably be the last full on significant game, giving Lebron almost 1 month to properly load manage before the Playoffs start, |

Looking forward to this one, but will be dissapointed if effort or execution is lackluster. This could be the last meaningful game Lakers play v Clippers this year - i think the rescheduled game will have both teams sitting guys and then the playoffs are a crapshoot re whether they play each other. Not gonna lie, will be dissapointing to lose this one.
Also Lakers have some narratives to address:
1. Do they choke from 3 in “big games”?
2. Can they beat the Clippers?
3. Can they win a physical game versus the Clippers?
Amongst many. My gut says the Lakers 3 ball will be accurate today. Hope its right! |

DO NOT PLAY BRADLEY OR KCP ON LEONARD. Leonard is a good post player and will take advantage. If Vogel does this again I will know he is not the smartest coach. |

Quote: | Looking into some Lakers/Clippers numbers ahead of the game, this one seems notable:
The Lakers average 16.8 "wide open" 3-point attempts a game this year. Converting them at a 38% clip.
Against the Clippers this season: they have averaged 20 attempts but have shot just 32.5% |

I don't like the quick turnaround for us after a big win Friday night. Especially for Lebron. If we had the same amount of rest and preparation as the clippers coming into this game like a playoff game I would feel better about our chances. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

So this will give us a great look at a well rested version of the updated Clippers. If nothing else, it's a learning experience. |

Ballmer will do anything for an advantage. |

Be prepared to think that then
Ever since about game 25-30 he has pretty much stuck with same lineups, subs, and strategies |

Probably before they got CP3
But since then and especially since we went through some rough seasons theyve pretty much owned the Lakers in season series |

If Bron shows up and fights Kawhi the way he did Giannis, I don't see us having any problems with the Clippers.
I know it's not always there but Bron is a really good on ball defender when engaged, that's on the block and on the perimeter. Not sure why he didn't seem to want to challenge Kawhi last game but I like that match-up for us if Bron is aggressive.
Hopefully he's not too gassed from giving us an MVP performance a few nights ago. |

Not weird at all. They said they would live together if they were both in LA. |

Clippers pregame show: they very confident, almost talk down about the Lakers
What i will agree with them re rockets. They said zubac took it personal they wanted to guard him with midgets (and part if reason why he took it to them). Maybe a lesson there. |
