Kuz is showing real Lamar Odom vibes lately. He's been passing the ball, making smart decisions, rebounding, taking the ball up, driving to the hoop, and cutting to the basket. |

Kuz had IT going tonight on both sides of the floor. Great confidence builder for Kuz and the team. |

Vogel said he doesn't expect to keep Kuz in the starting lineup because they need two quick guards usually depending on the matchup (such as playing the Blazers needing to guard Dame and CJ).
But he also said it will depend on the matchup and maybe if they face the Nuggets, they'll insert him as a starter. |

Kuzma should be starting going forward indefinitely, he has potential to be that 3rd star going forward with Bron & AD. |

Kuzma is so important to this teamβs chances. Playing this well after the hiatus is huge. |

Absolutely..we obviously see how much weaker the Lakers are defensively in the backcourt without AB. All things being equal that would severely decrease the Lakers chances..but Kuzma can make up for that and if he keeps this up, I think the Lakers chances can get just as good. |

His interaction While Kuz was trying to do his walk off interview was hilarious. To me we needed this game on the serious level. |

Bubble Kuz through 7 games: 15.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1 spg, & 0.7 bpg on 46% shooting from the field, 44% from 3, & shooting 72% from the FT line in 27 mpg. |

Yeah, with all the negative vibes around lately even with the #1 seed wrapped up this was massive for overall team morale if anything. It was awesome seeing the entire team super excited and smiling again.
Even if Kuz doesn't start I have no doubt he will still be ending the game and playing as many minutes as anyone so i'm good either way but i'd personally start him at this point especially with no Bradley.
I've been saying it all restart but damn it's still amazing to me just how much better his basketball iq and awareness has gotten. The shooting percentage is great as well but without that he's still playing at an elite level on both ends. This Kuzma you simply don't trade at all if he keeps this up through the Playoffs. He should be completely off the table imo. This is coming from someone who always rooted for him but I didn't think he'd reach this level mentally. I say rest the starters along with Caruso for the final game and let them remember this one going into the Playoffs. |

Tell me more about this 44% from 3.
And is it sustainable? I'm intrigued. _________________ ππ π π π #18!!! |

These stats are great! But what I'm most impressed with Kuz is his patience on offense now, his ability to hit the open guy, his decisions, and his willingness to change it up every once in a while. Add his solid defense and he's been wonderful in the Bubble so far. |

AD isn't a fan of running the 5. Particularly against Centers who can beat him up. Considering his injury concerns, I kinda agree.
But Kuz should still get starter minutes off the bench. Like Odom did with Kobe and Pau. And like Kukoc did with MJ and Pip.
He's distinguished himself as our 3rd option. And we must give him 30+ MPG and close games with him. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you betterβ

In the bubble I can see Kuz staying hot from 3 with similar percentages, along with Kuz being completely healthy now. Crazy thing was in his 2nd year he averaged 18 ppg while shooting 30% from 3. He has the tools to be that 18-20 ppg scorer behind Bron & AD, and it all hinges on his 3-point ability. When Popovich & Team USA said that one of the big blows to Team USA struggling in the World Cup was Kuzma not being able to play due to injuries says a ton about Kuzma's talent. |

Going in the season and the bubble we all said we need Kuz to be that 3rd guy who can pick up the scoring slack but also play good D, make the right plays, and be an efficient shooter.
Kuz has stepped up and into the role. Looking like a bonafide 3rd star. Now we need our other vets to start hitting their shots. |
