I have a bad feeling that a team like Atlanta might offer him a 4 year contract and over bid especially now that he step up when it matters. I dunno if the Lakers breaks bank and forego their 21 or 22 plan just to keep him. My gut feeling is he’ll ended like one of those role players that Lebron got paid and we will give our blessings. |

We have his bird rights don't we? We can go over the salary cap to pay him |

Hopefully Atlanta pursures Trezz and Jermai Grant instead.Even Joe Harris.
Not much guard depth on the free agent market so he might be a lot of teams target. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Atlanta isn't dumb enough to spend a lot of money on KCP.
KCP will be back next year. |

Does he give us a discount for how much we overpaid the first two years?
Man, if not for Rondo, KCP would be the Laker with the biggest redemption arc this year, and he actually did it all season long unlike Rondo. Whatever happens with him in free agency, and I think the Lakers should do whatever they can to keep him as long as the price isn't too exorbitant, I will always have love for KCP and his contributions to this championship (which were instrumental). So proud of his development, and I think the arrow is still pointing up on his growth with a big confidence boost from this championship run. |

Whether he leaves for a big payday or not, his contributions to this championship won't be forgotten. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

1 - KCP was a through line to LeBron
2 - KCP stepped up big in the playoffs
3 - KCP fits the team well
Even with that, you don't break the 2021 play for KCP. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

The Lakers had been annoyed with what they felt were extra steps being afforded to Heat rookie sharpshooter Duncan Robinson when he received the ball coming off curl screens, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
And with Robinson occasionally talking trash, that only increased the Lakers’ annoyance after he torched them for 26 points while draining seven triples in Game 5.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope came into Game 6 focused on not losing sight of Robinson, a rookie who is already one of the best players in the league at moving without the ball.
Of course, the game got chippy.
“You ain’t nothing,” Caldwell-Pope shouted at Robinson with 2:50 left in the half while Miami’s Bam Adebayo was at the free-throw line. Referee James Capers warned Caldwell-Pope to cool it down and he replied, “He’s the one talking sh--. He ain’t getting nothing tonight.”
Robinson finished with 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting.

The dude was locked in last night.
Quote: | At the start of that last LAL timeout, there was a heated exchange on the bench, ending with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope letting out a shout of frustration and leaving the bench to head towards the back. Quinn Cook went to look after him, KCP returned and is in the game now. |

Yes we can. Let’s say KCP got offered 48 million 4 years all guaranteed . You think Pelinka will pay KCP for that amount of years and forego our 21 or 22 plan. |

Atlanta are the worst defensive and 3 point shooting team. Teams have to meet salary floor no matter what and what better way to spend the salary for a player that meet your needs. |

I like how KCP is playing now like how he played when he was still with the Pistons. I hope he continue this confidence next season. He should accept the role that he is the 3rd option behind Bron and AD. Sadly I dont think Kuzma will still elevate his game further. |
