Sad. Knew it was coming. Kind of thought he would be trade ballast. |

Great guy. It was a pleasure to have him wearing purple and gold. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Inevitable he wouldn't be with the team this upcoming season, but he was a good dude, a great Laker, while he was here. Dad would be proud.
I'll always remember how he went down to Staples after Kobe's death. I'm sure that Laker ring he earned will have some Kobe symbolism built in there. |
My sentiments exactly, DB.
Only love to Quinn. Will always welcome him back as a backup. |

Thought heβd be seeking greener pastures. Heβs a high character guy and great shooter to have on the bench. Glad heβs back! |

Don't know why the Lakers let him go in the first place.
Quinn can run a team, shoot, and loves the Lakers |

Glad to have Cook back. Hopefully this time we find meaningful playing time for him since he can really help us with one of our non-strengths. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Nice. Able to bring him back whilst taking a lesser cap hit
Obviously loves the Lakers a lot, so he's a great chemistry guy to have around, and a great shooter when needed. Good mates with AD and Bron, too _________________ #18 next... |

So we have another Brian Shaw Maneuver, nice.
All in all, a sensible move. Vogel's defense is complicated enough in terms of anticipation, timing, and rotations and shifts from different angles. In an already-compressed offseason and regular season, it'd be hard to bring someone up to speed on that, so even if it's just for practice rotations, having Cook back helps shorten the learning curve for the rest of the newcomers.
Plus, another year with the core players - LBJ, AD, KCP, etc. - can only help Cook's development and make him a more likely-to-be-ready contributor in case COVID-stuff hits the fan. And even with some halfway-decent FAs still out there, it'd be tough to find someone with PG skills who's willing to be back-bench and not rock the boat.
Bringing back Dudz and Cook is simply good karma - gotta treat good guys good.
We might need another big down the line, but that's what post-trade thrift-shop market is for.
We're locked and loaded. LET'S GO. |

I hate it from a basketball perspective.
I love it from a corporate culture perspective. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Literally what is there to hate about this move? We are literally 11 players deep, and if there are injuries at the wing he has the reputation as a shooter. People are strange in man, you really expect a 20 PPG scorers to play a role of sitting on the bench not getting minutes for 90% of the year. A better question. Who would have been a better signing as a 14/15 who was on the championship team last year. _________________ The most important shot in basketball. |
