38 seconds left lakers up 5, 110-105
Momentum swing to begin fourth helped as Lakers brought better energy and of course unleashed tht
In all fairness, 3rd quarter had sun starters vs a cocktail of laker bench players
Now its bench v lakers deep bench and lakers rolling |

there was a few guys back in the day of the Draft Threads that loved THT....they saw him being this unique all around player. I was not one that loved him....liked him, but I did not see the player he is becoming. Credit to the few guys that did. |

There was an article about it in the past. Kobe's are far and away the most popular shoes these guys hoop in. It seems like if you're not rocking your own signature line, Kobe's are the go to.

I think THT best position is on ball, his decision making in the pick and roll is really good. It’s amazing given he is only 20. |

He makes good cuts too. I do agree he’s better with the ball but he ain’t useless off the ball for sure. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

THT is gonna win MIP if he keeps up playing like he has been.
Lakers' HUGE problem is going to be how to spread minutes around for everyone. A good player earns his minutes. What happens if everyone is playing well? _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024 |

He needs to lead second unit imo or be the guy running show on floor with other bench, team scores alot when he does |

Lakers win! 112-107
AD LBJ along with Gasol did terrific for starters
3rd quarter was ugly as Suns starters went atomic v no AD no LBJ and a strange mix of bench guys and outscored lakers by 23
Fourth? Tht and kuz unleashed v suns bench and they slammed the door on them outscoring suns bench by 19 in that quarter |

I have not been on the bball side of the board much, but I assume THT's development will probably allow Schroder to start like he prefers?
Also, has there been any discussion in what the Lakers view THT as post Lebron era (in a few years)? Are they developing him to play the lead guard position? |

THT and Trezz need to run the PNR. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Shawn Kemp in that 1995-1996 season was for sure the best power forward in the entire league. Even Rodman could do nothing with him and this is the Rodman that was befuddling Shaq in the series right before. Kemp was actually the best player in the series of that 1996 finals. Blake Griffin was never the best power forward in the NBA period. |

One of the few away commentators I can stand to listen to in Eddie Johnson. Dude just knows so much of the game, I can listen to him break down the Knicks
Anyways, got some burn for our Big 2, which is always good. THT was a little less visible but he wasn't starting and you can't expect an offensive outcome like what he had against the Clippers every game.
I will say glad Fox Sports Arizona got their audio mix consistent, at least from what I saw/heard on NBAtv, the piped in crowd noise wasn't a distraction and never overdone. |

It's weird that they try to load manage at beginning of the season when they should be out there getting in game shape for the regular season. It's the last pre-season game so I definitely would want to see them building some chemistry with the new guys instead of using the regular season starter against the Clippers to get in shape.
|
it's not that weird - it was an incredibly short offseason, and they played a lot of minutes during the playoffs. Not to mention that the playoffs were fairly compressed also. it's not just about load management, it's also about injury avoidance.
personally, I'd like to see LBJ, AD, and Gasol "ramped in" across the first month for the above reasons.
But, I'd also like to see reduced minutes throughout the season - and given our depth, that should be possible too. |
man can we stop this short offseason crap, they got 7 weeks....7 weeks without beign injured, besides probably some bums and bruises....7 weeks !!! its freakng enough..they are not football players. |
