They're really killing me with the Kobe tributes today.
On yesterday's Access SportsNet McGee was trying to be all upbeat and I was so glad when Trudell was like "yeah, BUT NO. We can't forget why we're having to do all these tributes."
I've been particularly sad about Kobe the last couple of days.
Damn, I miss him... It's crazy how much of an influence someone can have, without ever meeting them.
I watch videos of him every day, interviews, youtube mixes to get me ready for training... Hell even with my Peloton ride I go for 81 as a max resistant because of him.
I have the feeling I saw almost everything from him in terms of interviews etc.
Can you guys share your fav. Kobe Video here plz?! I especially enjoy the later interviews after he retired. He was such a great storyteller and in those interviews, you can see how smart he is, how his mind works, just beautiful.
The clip where Jordan Clarckson said Kobe told him to stop driving like a light skin brother popped up on my feed. JC dryness while talking to media was hilarious
This thread gets me teary eyed every time I venture it. I miss this man’s intellect so much, I would love to hear his insight in regards to the current state of the franchise and what it’ll take to get back to the top. Happy New Year Mamba
Came here to look at this thread. Missed Kobe. Haven’t posted for like a year man... it’s been a year and although I love my Lakers, I just can’t find to reignite that passion. I don’t jump around after ridiculous dunks, I don’t get hyped after game winners, and although I cheered and put my arms up when we won the title, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that it felt a bit empty without Kobe.
I had to come back to LG. If for nothing then just to remind myself that I love the Lakers.
I remember how pissed i got like 8 years ago when BobbyJ said that I was more of a Kobe fan than a Laker fan. Man, he wasnt kidding.
Can't believe it's been a year since we lost Kobe. He left way way too young. I read an article where Kobe wanted to part ways with Nike and start his own company...man that would be so awesome had this happened.
Just saw this clip from Tony Parker's new documentary. Must have been one of Kobe's last interviews.
Um there's more if you watch the whole thing. Pretty good stuff in general. But yeah, for sure one of the last interviews _________________ ANOTHER WIN IN LA! BOSTON SUCKS!

Hey Kobe, you wouldn't believe the year we've had since you and Gianna left. It was pretty (bleep) up and a lot of people have been sad. But it's starting to look a little brighter. See ya around. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
Kobe put on the greatest individual scoring show ever. Most important in the narrative of that game that is overlooked is the team was struggling to score and were losing. Then he took over and got the W.
I remember the details of that game like it were yesterday.
I was slightly delayed watching that game on Tivo (maybe halfway behind) and our (landline) phone was going off at one point and my wife was intercepting the calls. I remember early on in the game saying to her, hey, Kobe is having a pretty could game here. He could be going off for a career high and she was smirking, already knowing what was up.
