Ugh I really hope we can still afford him this summer. |

Hey, that’s a great observation! Thanks for that. |

AC may get 15 mill + this offseason. If he improves his handle and passing he will be a legit legit starting pg in the league. |

I’m picturing the type of contract that Dellavadova got after playing alongside Lebron. It was enough that Cleveland chose not to match, and that could be what Caruso is setting himself up for. We can’t be mad about a guy who played himself out of the G league earning a decent payday. |

Yeah, as much as I love watching all these guys killing it to start the season it's going to be crazy what some of them will be getting offered. Rob will have some extremely tough decisions to make for sure.
Caruso, THT, Trezz & Dennis will all be getting some huge paydays with Caruso and THT being monster raises.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Morris get a solid offer either.
It's why it's so important to win it all this year even though i'm sure we'll be right there with the top couple teams next year as well I just think the gap might be a bit closer with several teams. |

I don't see Pelinka letting him walk, and I don't think Caruso will want to leave. Assuming they work something out, I guess Kuz will get traded. I'd bet good money AC and THT will be around for while. |

It's going to be choices, we may have to decide if we keep 1 or maybe 2 of:
Morris
Schroder
Harrell
THT
Caruso
Make your "Sophie's Choice:" 2 stay, the other 3 leave for a better payday. Who do you choose?
Let's say that the Lakers say the sure keeper is Schroder. Now you are down to 1 of 4, what say you?

Caruso/KCP/Schroder/THT is a hell of a backcourt.
Especially if KCP and Caruso are going to be top 10 in 3 point shooting 👀 |

I don’t think we can match any offer for AC like we can for THT, so if someone pays over the MLE for him, we’re out. Do we have any bird rights for him or anything? I don’t remember exactly what it was but all I remember is reading he can definitely play himself out of our price range and we wouldn’t be able to do anything about it |

Actually don't we have his Bird rights? So we can technically match any offer and be allowed to exceed the cap right? |

Its fun to think about this prime-Caruso playing on the Kobe led Lakers instead of Fisher.... _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

I’d like to see Caruso with Kobe, but I would never wish to replace Fisher. He’s won all 5 rings that Kobe has won. Probably the most underrated Laker in all of history. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

2nd in the entire league, only behind Seth Curry. KCP is #4. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

sounds like he'd get similar to Kuz, so we might have to pick. Schroeder 1st priority then prob Montrezl (doubt we can afford) |

Yeah, man. With so many great players in the org's history, both NVE and Fish are often underrated. Love those guys. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Caruso might leave for more money, but i doubt he’ll leave for a bigger role. He once said that he plays better around great players. There’s no greater player than Lebron James. Their chemistry is amazing. Unless our offer isn’t competitive, I don’t see Alex leaving next season. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

I'm just hoping they get hot from 3 in the postseason instead of pulling a Danny Green and going cold after having a great reg season %. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

That’s the thing though. I don’t think our offer can be competitive.
I love the way Kuz’s game has grown and he is a much better player for us now - but between the both of them it’s not even close. Not sure if Rob can trade Kuz immediately after the season but this is what needs to happen so we can give AC Kuz’s money. |

He isn’t a restricted FA, so if he takes an offer, we are out. We do have his bird rights so we could pay him up to the Max if we wanted to, but it’s very likely Rob has some sort of budget he has to adhere to. The Buss family doesn’t have unlimited money, and even teams with owners who make billions from their other businesses often have strict budgets, so a “family run business” like the Lakers, where the bulk of the owners’ wealth is tied directly to the team, can be expected to have a budget too. No one knows what that might be, or what the Buss family’s lux tax tolerance would be. Remember, even Dr Buss penny pinched during the 3-peat, so while the Lakers are obviously willing to pay for winners, they don’t give their GMs a blank check. |

Strong game against the Bucks. Corner three. You can't leave a 60% three shooter like him open. |
