That was an absolute thing of beauty, that 2-point conversion. Back in the ballgame. Goff has actually played well today. As usual, we know he can't make anything happen when he's under pressure, but he's making good throws when given time. That's all you can ask for from him.
As for the question from earlier about what the Rams can do about the QB situation, I don't really think there's much they can do. Goff is vastly overpaid, and of course you take the cap hit if you were to cut him. I suppose you could attempt some type of Goff-Wentz swap but you're just trading one problem for another there. Maybe they draft a QB after the first round that somehow turns into a Dak Prescott who is better than Goff, but that's not likely. I think they are stuck with him for the next couple of years, but you never know what can happen. |

Shoulda been a flag for running into the kicker. Rams got away with one. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Rams get the ball back down by 7. They are battling in this game. Long field here, but they have a chance. |

93 yard drive is a tall order.

Saw it again, Goff under pressure on that sack and he just can't extend the play. There hasn't been consistent pressure, but it feels like he's been sacked on about 3 of the 5 times where there has been pressure. |

Packers are just the better team. Was asking a lot to win this game. Goff showed toughness and really did throw the ball well today. But he really is a statue back there, and it clearly inhibits what they can do on offense. Everything has to be on schedule. |

Glad I have Eminence. I have free League Pass. Time for some basketball. Magic playing Brooklyn tough. 62 61 in the 3rd. Harden 13 to this point. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Packers are definitely the better team with the injuries the Rams have. I thought this would turn into a blowout but this Rams team hung in there much longer than I thought. Recovering that fumble would have really made this interesting.
But I’m also frustrated. A healthier Ram team would have a real shot. |

Hats off the Packers. They dissected our defense up even though we were banged up. Aaron Rodgers is the MVP and that offense is easily the best in the league.
Goff play pretty well today. Cam Akers continue to impress me. Van Jefferson has potential.
If we can get Deshaun Watson, then that would be great! |

This team went further than I expected them to....didn't expect them to make the playoffs, made it.....beat the Seahawks and advanced to play the Packers. Was always going to be tough to beat the Packers with our QB situation. Sucks for Aaron Donald that making it back to the Super Bowl will be an uphill climb with how our offense is currently composed. |

Yep. Everything had to be clicking on all fronts to stand a chance. Too much to overcome. _________________ KOBE |

I thought Goff actually played well today in tough circumstances.
That said, Green Bay is just dangerous on offense, they are really in tune and Rodgers is a special player, he may actually still be a bit underrated. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

The Rams success was based on their defense, and in particular their ability to pressure the QB with their front seven is what got them there. They didn't get much pressure on Rodgers, giving him the time to carve up the LA secondary. Perhaps that rib injury to Donald made life easier for the GB offensive line. |

It would have been a tall order to beat the Packers, especially as the road team, playing in the snowflakes. Beating Seattle was a big deal, at times our defense was stifling, but we just couldn't control the Pack today.
Last year, the pack looked lost trying to beat the 49ers in the playoffs, GB was good, but you could just tell it wasn't their year. Same way we looked the last few games, good but not great, not good enough to beat a very good team that played well.
Maybe a couple of tweaks, some better offensive production might make a difference. Goff still hasn't become that elite franchise quarterback, there are only so many to go around, so I don't think replacing him with a free agent QB gets us over the hump. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |
