I have them both.. Truthfully they're a both the same to me. I used to be a total playstation guy. After the X360 came out that I was converted. I'm addicted to NBA 2K7 on PS3 though...
you can't go wrong with either. Whatever you friends have I'd go with. |

That's the best piece of advice. I bit the bullet and bought myself a ps3 before Xmas, I was a huge PS fan for a long time. I tried it out for about a couple of weeks but eventually got rid of it for a small profit (thank goodness!). There wasn't anything really wrong with the PS3 it's a nice machine but there were some little things that bothered me; such as the scaling issue (which i think has been resolved since) and the fact that xbox live is just a whole lot more robust than PSN. In the end, I was the only one out of my friends who had a ps3 and the little things that bothered me made me appreciate my 360 even more. As NoFlaws stated play where your friends are at.. you'll enjoy your gaming experience more regardless of what system you're on. |

get the WII man, you won't regret it...
In fact if you're willing to dish out top bucks for the PS3, get BOTH the Wii, and the Xbox 360 best of both worlds...
Not very impressed with the PS3, gameplay lacking major style...

i have Wii and 360. i play the wii more than i play my xbox. zelda: twilight princess is game of the year.
also, EVERYBODY can enjoy wii. i mean girls, guys who don't play video games, older people....it's more social than xbox and something everybody can enjoy.

It's all about the games.
In my opinion the choice comes down to either 360 or the Wii.
The PS3 doesn't yet have a lot of exclusive games which justify it's higher price point. This will change over time, but in the here and now, 360 has the PS3 beat. Also, if you follow the industry news, PS3 is doing relatively poorly when compared to the Wii. the 360 already has a huge headstart with 10 million consoles out, so the likelihood of game publishers ignoring that install base to make PS3 only games seems unlikely.
The wii is selling very well. It's still hard to get in many parts of the country. Same reasoning as above applies. The more consoles sold, the more likely game publishers will make games for that platform. Wii also has some innovative game play. Clearly not as powerful as the other 2, but I think the game play more than makes up for it.
For the record, I own a Wii. I bought it because my Girlfriend could also enjoy it and we regularly play together on it. She isn't the Video game type, so it's nice to be able to play something that we can both enjoy. |

I had a 360 and it broke 2 times! Over heated and stopped reading discs. I finally traded it in for a PS3 and i'm loving it!! I had 2k7 on the 360 and now on the PS3 and honestly I prefer the PS3, the game seems more refined and flows better, also it looks amazing in 1080p!!
I prefer the PS3 controller also  |
