11-0 so far. I think we'll tack on another 12 shortly, increase our run differential some more. |
It is so true, save a few for tomorrow.....not. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I think he lost his starting spot to Scherzer. Gonsolin probably lost his too, to Duffy.
1) Buehler
2) Scherzer
3) Urias
4) Kershaw
5) Duffy |
Duffy isn't going to be ready until September at the earliest. Maybe he just wanted to get an inning of work in, who knows. Gonsolin has to miss at least one turn in the rotation, of course, as he's on the IL. |

We blew an opportunity to gain a game on the Giants. We should have swept the D Backs. Still down 3 games with a tough series at Houston. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Oh ok. Didn't know that.
This article has a more optimistic return date for him:
Quote: | While Duffy is currently on the 10-day injured list with a left flexor forearm strain, he is expected to return to the mound by late August if he stays on track with his rehab, and he can add an arm to the Dodgers’ rotation -- or even a strong bullpen arm -- as the reigning World Series champions race toward a deep October run.
https://www.mlb.com/news/danny-duffy-traded-from-royals-to-dodgers |
Quote: | The player to the named in the deal will be revealed within the next few months, but the clubs have already agreed to the pool of players the Royals will scout and choose from. The cash sent over helped “a little bit” with that group of players, but it was mainly included in the deal to offset Duffy being on the IL at the time of the deal and the uncertainty of how much he’ll pitch for the Dodgers.
“I’m not going to sit here and say that there were a lot of teams willing to acquire Danny at this point in time,” Moore said. “Because he is on the IL, I understand that. If he would have stayed healthy at this point in time, I think there would have been a lot of suitors for Danny and the return would have been much greater, but that’s the way it goes. |

Pepiot had his first start in AAA today and acquitted himself well, going 5 innings. We need a starter on Saturday, and he would be in line to pitch again on Saturday. I'm guessing that we're going to see the kid get called up to make that start. |

Yeah, if not for facing a right hand starter tonight, Belli gets bumped down to 8th or benched. When Trae arrive soon then there's some real interesting decisions r: batting order and who plays where in the field! |

Why are Dodgers fans so loud and hostile, but Lakers fans are so quiet and soft at Staples Center?
We need this type of juiced-up, hostile crowd at Staples for Lakers games every time! |

The last time the Lakers had stakes like this were after 2008 finals vs the Celtics. I went to that Christmas game and it was the loudest I’ve ever seen the Staples Center crowd; even playoffs/finals games didn’t compare.
Nothing gets a crowd going like hating the other team. It’s not enough to cheer for my team to win, the other team has to die (or at least lose lol). |

Nice luxury to be able to walk a guy to get to the pitcher to get out of a jam. |

Sigh - only 2 hits after four innings. Offense has to be better. |

Muncy had the bases loaded, and couldn't do anything. He struck at a couple ball 4's. |

Tonight is a loss...But I think it's actually possible to win tomorrow by 6 or 7 runs. That's just what this team does. |

Other than a few infield singles has Cody done anything since that 8th inning garbage time homer @ San Fran? |

The most important at-bat of the game and Bellinger is hitting. No wonder this team sucks in close games. |
