Beyonce won 5 Grammy Awards on one night. That means her music peers think she has talent. You may not like her style, but she does have talent.

That is true! She actually has won a total of 10 Grammys, which is impressive at 25 year of age. She has a Golden Globe Nomination, which is an indication that she's a fine actress. She has Image Awards. This is not the standard package for a women who was voted the most beautiful. The five Grammy Awards in one night is a tie for the record. She is responsible for over 100 million albums and singles worldwide. The people have spoken. She has no lack of talent.

No offense, but I'm not impressed by Grammy's. The Grammy's are nothing more than the music industry's forumn for marketing it's high profile pop "stars". Sure, they throw an occasional bone to other forms of music and/ or deserving legends, but for the most part, winning a bunch of grammy's is an indication that the recipient is the personification of the vapid, disposable, style (in its loosest form) over substance industry.
As for sales numbers, does this make Budweiser, Walmart, etc. the pinnacle of quality?
Last, it's sad that someone with so much "talent" would need to be in a swimsuit issue. Kind of leads one to view her, correctly IMO, as a media-driven celebrity as opposed to an artist.

The winners of Grammy Awards isn't the absolute measure of quality, but you don't win 10 Grammy Awards without talent. You don't win five at once without being talented. It's like the NBA MVP awards when you win the most. Kobe has been the best player in the NBA, but he hasn't gotten the recognition as league MVP. You can rightly say the best didn't win, but you can't say the player that won didn't have talent. In the film category, the best film doesn't always win an Oscar, but the winner is always a well made film. Beyonce has world class talent. Nobody said she was the best. However, to deny that she has talent is absurd. Her beauty should not be held against her. Normally, beauties don't develop in other areas. To be a world-class beauty and also have world-class talent is rare. Beyonce has both beauty and talent.
