No. And I'm still in shock. I'm going to wait a few days to let it sink in before I chime in. I'm not happy at all, but trying to keep an open mind. God, this feels even worse than getting Rudy T to replace Phil.

I voted no but I think it might have to pleasing LT and if that's the case, it was the right move.

Turner is a great Offensive coach and QB coach,
but as a head coach isn't great IMO.

I am a 49er fan so I do value the his helping Smith become a decent NFL QB.

He needs to hire a very good defensive coordinator. There seem to be some coaches who are good at the overall picture, who should be head coaches. There are others who are specialists. San Diego fans have to hope that he has grown.

Ron Rivera who was the Bears Defensive Coordinator is now the Chargers linebackers coach. He inked a deal for two seasons.

I'm a 49er fan too. Norv worked wonders with Alex Smith and Frank Gore. Now who's gonna run the offense?

yes it was a good move, do you know who designed the offense they've been playing for the past 5+ years? norv turner.... if their window is closing like some say and needed the blockbuster coach, why, they would bring in a totally new offense, and maybe also a defense

in bringing in norv, they are playing the same offense, which is great, bringing in a defensive coach, that will use the same defense as before... might not be the big name coach that the fans and media want, but they will do the job....

No one ever questioned Norv's abilities as an offensive coach. He just doesn't have the personality to be a head coach.
