They try to clean up language in the media, they completely freak with the Janet Jackson thing and anything sexual (ie, "natural") is considered "indecent."... yet slap an NBA logo or an NFL logo on the grinding/dancing girls, (and in this case, the "PUSSYcat Dolls") and suddenly everything is clean, family "NBA/ABC/Disney approved" entertainment.
Won't somebody please think of the children?!!

graphic, senseless violence is a-ok to show on television. but you DARE to say a curse word??? now we're talking about MILLIONS of dollars in fines from the FCC.
america has a very strange, very odd relationship with sex. clearly we like it and promote it with bands like the pussycat dolls. however it can only be teased...viewed as a guilty pleasure. it's ok for janet jackson to dance around in a bra. but should you see her nipple...the country will fall apart for months. i don't get why people freak out over sex or why some deem it to be dirty and inappropriate. it's WHY WE ARE HERE! i think many of the decisions about content in film and television are made by people who really need to get laid.
sex is unacceptable in popular entertainment. language is unacceptable. violence is ok. i'll never get that one.
