Don't want to get too ahead of myself, but if the Lakers continue to play this type of defense, I don't see any team beating us.
I’m right there with you, just waiting to see if this starts coming against the really good teams as well. But they’ve proven that the average teams and lesser teams are absolutely no match for them, especially at home.
I have a feeling my fellow Lakers fans gonna fall for the okie doke once again and this has made it worse. I’m happy that we won, but I want the real world championship and banner.

This was just a game. NBA wanted to make the nov/dec games count and this new format was exciting. Lakers took it seriously and won it all.
It’s not an nba title, and no one thinks that.
It’s a fun all-star ish type of tournament and the Lakers took it seriously and won it all.
Good for them.
Let’s not think this replaces anything.
New format, fun for fans, Lakers were the best team.

My internet was down all night. Just got an emergency technician in this morning. This is the first time I REALLY wanted to post in a game thread.
AD was focused from start to finish. His facial expressions were beast-like. He had the look of an assassin. I've never seen that look on him before. @ Those who wanted to trade AD, Prince, and get rid of Ham. AD beasted. Prince hit some key shots and played good defense. Ham made adjustments that won the game on defense. We just passed 1/4 of the season, and were above .500, 14-9. The team is showing improvements every game. I'm going out on a limb and say we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs and maybe even the Larry O'Brien. LG armchair coaches and GM's ---------> this way to the exit. That was more than an all star-ish tournament. No one cares about winning an all star game. The Bucks were so upset about losing you had Portis going off on his teammates and head coach after they lost.

YUP! I think sometimes fans forget about the competitive nature of professional athletes. Add to that this is a first. Championships come and go, First Are Forever. IMO many wanted it. Bragging rights and competitive nature. Athletes are a different breed.
