Doubt this happens, but if it’s happening I prefer to keep Playoff Rui. Lakers gonna miss having a 6’8 scoring wing who shows up in the playoffs. _________________ |

It’s hilarious that Murray requires Reaves or 2029 unprotected 1st when all these other teams have traded trash with most recent example being Harden trade.
FOH with the Laker tax. |

What Laker tax? They traded 3 1sts and a swap for him and need to recoup all that they can. Many teams will offer as much if not more |

If you think other teams are going to give them all that, you should work for the Hawks.
They won’t get anywhere near that. Austin Reaves alone is better than Murray even if he has had some struggles this season.
No one is giving the equivalent of AR, Rui and 2029 unprotected 1st.
Ballmer has been getting (bleep) for free just because the other owners hate the Lakers due to their historical success. |

Quit overrating our players.
You guys forget how good Murray is. He's locked into a very good contract (4/$120M) |

no one wanted Harden especially the team he was on. they couldn't keep him around. If we have pieces that make sense a deal will get made. But look at our assets. If you were a GM of another team you would laugh at
reddish, wood, hayes, prince dlo, Gabe
You would probably listen to
Rui, reaves, vandy, pick.
we don't have squat. _________________ Kobe.

You may say we don’t have squat and there can be arguments made that this is mostly true, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that the clippers get good pieces for garbage and it started before Harden. |

The notion of the "Laker tax" is just paranoia. A team is going to take the best offer, whether it's from us or from something else. If we give the best offer, they aren't going to pass on it just because it doesn't include enough extra "tax."
Every team makes trades where it looks like they gave up too much for what they got, and every team makes trades where it looks like they have up too little for what they got.
I don't see a pattern of the Lakers overpaying for trades.
If you look at our current roster, most people would say the deals that got us Rui, Russell, and Vanderbilt were favorable to us.

I don’t know why the hawks would want that package but it would be a steal for the Lakers. |

Don’t argue with LeBron:

They gave up decent role guys to a team that needed what they had + getting rid of a guy who was clearly a headcase. Not many, if any other teams wanted him that I recall. When Harden started there it looked like it was going to blow up. Unfortunately they all like playing together. Their garbage is way better than ours. We literally signed guys that no one else even looked at. So why would they now? Reaves/Rui/Pick isn't terrible but you would hope it would net better than Murray. Everyone else is a salary dump, or a deep bench player unless its a team trying to tank.
BTW_ This isnt terrible:
The 76ers sent Harden, P.J. Tucker and Filip Petrusev to the Clippers for Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, a 2028 unprotected first-round pick, two second-round picks, a 2029 pick swap and an additional first-round pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources told ESPN. _________________ Kobe.

Its like Ham knows who he wants gone...and puts them in the worst situations to make sure it happens. Id Love Dejounte..but in this offense he wouldnt be as effective as he could be. |

Can we get Quinn Snyder in the deal? _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Why? He's a 6ft James Harden... A career 43% fg shooter and very turnover prone (4.2 per). Not to mention he takes like 20 shots per game. Who provides you nothing on the defensive end. Not even just size alone.

Trae will cost you a lot more... Then you have to factor in his usage on this team along side Lebron. Unless you make Trae your #1 guy, all those nice stats he has like PPG and APG goes down as a 2nd or 3rd option. Then all his weaknesses will be magnified 10x as a Laker...
Like I said he's a 6ft James Harden... Can't fix his turnovers and efficiency. Scoring and assist will suffer here.
