Some Laker fans always get excited about guys like Reddish, Wood, Bamba who bounce around the league for a reason. And now Dinwiddie. There’s a reason these guys are cheap. Nobody covering the Lakers is thinning out missing piece is a guy that can volume score off the bench, but no d. That’s Reaves
Welcome signing, and welcome, Spencer!!! Excellent signing, by Pelinka! Definitely helps to stabilize our PG rotation, when DLo sits, with vet presence. _________________ ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
unnecessary signing. Should have gone for Biyombo instead. Dimwiddie has been garbage this season. And in general isn't all that good.
Besides we got Gabe Vincent what'll happen with the rotations when he's back?
Because a healthy Gabe is much better than Spencer. Especially on defense.
And if don’t have healthy Gabe? _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. All I care about, all we care about, is to raise another banner in the rafters.“
I wonder if the plan is to start him with Russell and move Austin to the bench where he thrives
I love Austin Reeves, but I’m tired of watching him get hunted on defense
So bench the much much better player for the lesser player.
lol.
Wouldn't put it past ham to do something that stupid. Start some dude we dont need who's never practiced with the team. Should go over well not to mention the blatant disrespect towards Reaves lol.

lol. Christie is miles better defender than Spencer who's having an atrocious season.
This team is in no way giving up on Max for a career journeyman.
Max has the tool to be a star in his role.
TMG, you don’t like Dinwiddie, we get it.
Those of us who have watched him over the years know he’s a good pick up.
Low risk, low cost, decent reward.
Can ball handle, pass and hit shots. That’s all we need.
When DLo or Reaves go to the bench, we aren’t depleted at guard.
Gabe isn’t coming back and Christie is good but still learning.

It's more wanting Rob to fill the spots that need filling. Biyombo would actually be a decent pick up since we need help down low.

You’re not benching him you’re moving him to the second rotation, where he actually plays better it’s not like you’re taking Austin Reeves and putting them on the end of the bench lol

Read the write up in the other thread that said to ignore this year’s stats because he hasn’t been engaged the last two months. Red flag. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

That would be a typical dumb Ham move. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

The Nets suck. Team and management is a mess.
I like this move and think it will be a great one when all said and done.

And according to that article SD was a big part of that. If it wasn’t for Max’s injury I would say it was a crappy move but the team does need guard bodies so adding him for now was necessary. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Everyone entitled to their opinion. Ever the writer of that opinionated article.
Again, in my opinion, it’s a solid, low risk, low cost, positive acquisition.

I’m glad you are not in the front office
Well certainly it is possible he may not be as good as the fans hope.
But when he was in Dallas, he was shooting 40% from 3 for 2 years in a row and having Luka seem to have a lot to do with that. And perhaps with LBJ it could be the same thing.
Also it is possible he didn't really want to play for the Nets and the reason for the subpar performance this last year.
But overall its a minimal sign so low risk.
Other interesting notes: Career 40.2% from corner 3s and I believe with the Nets he was 42% on spot up 3s. Possible you can put him in the corner if need be.
As far as defense, I hear he is an average defender..but can be good when he wants to be. It does appear to better defense than Reeves and Dlo. Also he is a good playmaker.
Dinwiddie is better than Christie. No knock on the kid. Max is great, but he's still young and makes some stupid passes and isn't as consistent as I like yet. He's shown flashes but he's not there yet. I would love to see Dinwiddie playing w/Max in the backcourt, that could be a fun big backcourt.
Gabe Vincent is pretty much done for the year. If he's able to contribute in the final stretch and maybe against certain match ups in the playoffs great.
Dinwiddie brings another nice ball handler to the rotation, now we will always have 2 on the court at all times (AR/DLO/LBJ/DIN) and nobody will have to play 35+ min
+1 billion
This could really instill confidence in the 12 gap hodgepodge WTF lineups Ham runs. We might actually be able to win some of those rotations now. For Free.
And we never have to see AR try to bring the ball up under pressure ever again... I'm almost in tears.
Can't wait to see Rondo 2.0 arrive. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

The back to back against DET and Utah should give us enough sample size to see if Dinwiddie can end up helping this team, assuming of course that he gets on the court during those games and gets decent minutes, if the situation doesn’t work out you can easily cut him without eating any of the dead money

So u going to judge a guy playing with his team with only 1/2 practices with the new team?

If it makes you happy let’s give him until March and April
We just needed another tough vet on this team.
People say he’s a big guard. Not really. But a better point of attack defender than Dlo or Austin.
This should free Reaves away from the ball handling duties. Big help for him and the offense.
Real nice pickup Rob.
The automatic first sub is Spencer for Bron right?
This is the biggest no brainer in the world right?
Then Wood for AD, Prince for D Lo?
Then Bron for Reaves, Hayes for Rui?
It just seems to work.
Man i hope we get Gabe and Cam back in the next 14 days... Christie too. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."
