Relax guys, once Bynum comes back, we will be the best team in the west, just not with the best record at the time. |

Obviously Pops challenged them to play some defense at half -- the Lakers NEVER adjusted. Lakers 1st half effort went right into the TOILET as the Lakers sleep-walked into Pop's defense engergized Spurs in the 2nd half. In contrast, PJ counters the Spurs defensive energy with NADA, ZIP & ZILCH. |

Another key change was putting Manu on Kobe which I mentioned was going to happen at halftime.. Manu can take Kobe out of the game. |

How did the Spurs get away with putting 38 year old Michael Finley on our starting Power Forward and not get killed? |

He came out in the 3rd shoot bricks, not passing the ball, the others simple follow. The difference Kobe in the first half and the second is why we lost this game. Don't blame Phil for not calling a timeout, or leaving Kwame in the game.
Granted, Ronny was playing better but did you want him in the game picking up silly fouls inthe rd when he could play the whole 4th? Not rotating on shooters in the 3rd quarter Killed us, we gave up tons of points, a 14-0 run!!
Am just gonna put my tails between my legs and head off to bed!!!! |

Lakers with just way too many turnovers against the Spurs. San Antonio did an outstanding job taking care of the ball and made adjustments at the half and blitzed the Lakers with more energy to win the game. Nobody stepped up in that second half. |

Greg Popovich = BEST COACH IN THE NBA. = Duncan, PArker, Manu, Finley and Bowen
PJ = only Kobe + Scrubs = We have the same record and was better coming into the game.

Kind of hard to do when you get phantom fouls while the other team gets to play football defense.
I swear, much of the spurs defense in the third is illegal in football. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

You know -- Kwame did miss two chippies early in the 3rd -- if Bynum was on the receiving end no way the Spurs come back ...

Kobe TO's in the 2nd half was a result of the Spurs new found defensive energy -- obviously spurned on by Pop's half time rant. In contrast, the Lakers, Kobe & PJ counters the Spurs defense with NADA! |

He also killed it by overdribbling. When things aren't there move the ball around and reset. Don't just go Steve Francis on that possession. |
This is what happens when people look at the player with the ball alone.. and not the entire picture. Kobe was dribbling in the 1st half looking to pass just the same.. fact of the matter was Ronny was making cuts time after time and quickly for Bryant to find him.
But what I don't like about Kobe's game right now is when things start to unravel he doesn't regain composure and makes it even worse with the pumpfakes and threes.. when he has to be the calming influence on the team. |

Sickening effort in the second half. Lakers were dreadful in that third quarter and it just snowballed instead of any changes being made. It's aggravating when Phil doesn't use timeouts to settle down the troops and stem a run. |
