We have Mihm, who I get the feeling will be back at a good percentage of his previous performance. We may also have Kwame, who (when in shape) can defend pretty well.
This is entirely my opinion:
I do think Phil has a soft spot for the guy, possibly because he realizes he was abused as a child and then further abused by Jordan. Jackson more than most knows how Jordan can treat his teammates. Then Kwame got thrown onto a team with a minor (as far as abusive psycho-competitiveness) version of Jordan in Kobe who was desperate to win on a poor team.
I think as a backup with minimal pressure in a winning situation Kwame can flourish situationally. I think he's too emotionally screwed up to ever be the success he was projected to be when he was drafted. At this point the Lakers don't need a savior, just a situationally useful backup.
I'd choose Kwame over Turiaf if I were asked to choose between the two. I'm not saying that Ronny has no NBA skills. Sure, he's an energetic guy and an asset in the locker room, but he must improve a lot in order to be effective. He's too short to be a center, yet too slow to be a power forward.
At least Kwame has an NBA body. He can defend and rebound pretty well. If Turiaf walks then we sign him.
Tinybus... you also have to factor in.. will he want to be back after he witnessed half of the Laker crowd booing like a midnight hour of a forest when ghosts boo at there own curiosity?
Either a brilliant metaphor I can't quite comprehend, or more weird, nonsensical drivel.
If Phil has a soft spot for Kwame then you wouldn't think he would be meowing at him in front of the press indicating that he is a (bleep)(cat). Seems a little low for someone you're so fond of _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.
I'm not saying there aren't options, I'm saying it is suprising that they're making it public that they have options if Sasha leaves, but not if Turiaf does. On paper, I like what Brown brings as a backup center, but it is hard for me to imagine him coming back. Someone will give him 2-3M to be a big body inside.
The Lakers aren't really making anything public. The media find out about some phone calls/conversations/speculation and they don't find about others. We only hear about a small fraction of the discussions that GMs have about trades and free agents.

Ronny is fun to watch on the bench with all of his towel waving and all. But on the court, he just needs to control his emotions. If he does transfer to another team... then i wish him all the luck
I don't really care that much either way if Turiaf stays or not. But, I'd say Sasha is the one that needs to control his emotions much moreso than Ronnie. Dude gets all upset and mentally takes himself out of games. Then to make matters worse, you visit the forums and read a bunch of fans talking about how it's a positive thing because "he's just so passionate".
Dont forget what Ronny did in the regular season _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though."

There is a FA big guy named Kwame Brown somewhere out there
Well that guy smells bad. I'm not sure if Phil can handle him hes not about to bring a mental case on this team when we need to get rid of Odom and Vlad.
have you nothing positive to say about anyone or anything?
Ronny a the right prie s a fantasti element on this eam. Not to mention he's kobe's best friend.

I think on the other hand, it shows how positive he is about Kwame.
Phil never joked about Smush, but he joked a lot about Kwame and as far as I know, Kwame was not angry with those jokes.
But this argument has its flaws as well since Phil doesn't joke about Kobe either, but he loves Kobe.
Maybe another sign that Phil likes Kwame is how he gave a lot of time to him even when he was playing terrible (just like how Phil handles Luke).
Please overpay him Connor.. you will be my hero.. goodbye Ronny.
why? ronny is like kobe's best friend. and he brings a lot of energy on the bench. plus hes a good defender. and has improved a little on offence. ronny just stay here

Caron was Kobe's best friend and workout partner and they traded him for Kwame. Since when does our front office care...? _________________ Monta Ellis: "Kobe is #1, I'm #2, LeBron is #3."

1. Ronny doesn't rebound
2. Ronny would rather pass out of the post than make a strong move
3. Ronny's too small to play C _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

I tend to suspect the latter.
Wow, you could probably write a book about that sentence. _________________ 1) DO WHATEVER IT TAKES
