At the 4:30 mark in the 4th quarter, we were down 18 already and the free throw discrepency was only 18 Pistons to 12 for the Lakers. The last 4:30 of the game, as we tried to come back and Sasha couldn't do anything but foul, the Pistons got to the line another 16 times and we only got to the line 4 times.
Point is.... the refs had nothing to do with this loss. We were already being blow out when the free throw difference was relatively acceptable. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

On the upside, if we win 8 games for every game that we lose, we'll still win 72-73 games. SO as long as we beat Chicago on Tuesday, we're still on pace for history. |

i'm sure no one thought we would win all 82...
the Pistons seemed to make every jump shot...they played a great game. most teams won't make every shot they take...so don't worry about it.
the effort was there, but like i said, the Pistons seemed to make every shot. i personally don't think it was anything to worry about.
tough game, just didn't happen tonight.
big deal... _________________ KobeDunk wrote:

You guys gotta calm down, its just one game, Lakers will learn from their mistakes this game and keep learning
We have a young team, we make mistakes, we fix them thats the potential our team has, We have all the right pieces so that when one player screws up, another player can make up for it. Tonight none of them however came to play, that is not how a championship caliber team plays
Plus Andrew Bynums still a little shakey on his knee, not completely confident on it. We shouldn't rag on him too much considering its going to take him 1 or 2 months to actually get back into season form. |

Besides all the losing news and reports, Kobe had some amazing dunks tonight
How about that pump fake at the top of the three point arc, to come in the lane tomahawking with the left hand SICK |

It's all about the championship at the end.
Last year the Celtics won the championship despite having issues with Certain teams.
Celtics lost against:
Magic (Two Times)
Cavaliers (Two Times)
Wizards (Three Times)
Pistons
Bobcats
Raptors
Nuggets
Suns
Warriors
Jazz

Be glad we're losing to GOOD teams and not scrubs like the Bobcats.
It's going to take masterful defense and incredible offense to beat the Lakers. You just saw that from the Pistons. Give them props, but I doubt they do that again. |

It was bound to happen, I am glad it was to a good team - and there was no dispute - the Pistons deserved this win.
It will be a good wakeup call to Lakers, the Pistons should have been tired, 2nd game in 2 nights on the Road - but they came in fresh and shot the lights out.
Its good to take a humbling loss like this early in the season - like AI said - did anyone expect them to go 82-0?
I really did not think the Lakers played that bad - but the Pistons almost played a perfect game - they never even had a lapse that the Lakers could use to make a run.
I doubt the Pistons can have many perfect games like that either - they were hitting all their 3s, got great calls on all drives to the basket - played great D - I think they are good, but not that good ! |

Other thing is Boston may be the team that should be sweating - for them to get to the championship they might have to deal with a real tough Detroit team.
I think the Lakers path will not be as difficult - I dont see any team stopping them in the West.
So hopefully Pistons-Celtics play and beat each other up before Lakers tear them apart next Summer. |

Looks like Pistons played their "usual" game whenever they play against us. They go all out, make damn near every shot. Every other team can get wins against these guys, yet we struggle to wins against them through out the years, we usually get blown out on the regular by this team, no matter who we have on our roster.
We always struggle to score on them, and they look like juggernauts on offense when they play us. Guarantee you Sheed won't have a better game then he did last night all season. I'm Convinced, They just simply have our number, i guarantee you they kick our asses in Detroit, no matter how well were playing or how worse they're playing at the time, we just cant seem to beat this squad. Kobe looks like a role player when he plays against these clowns as well. |
