Gary Payton's postgame analysis is as entertaining as the game. The guy is high on something. |

No, we get it.
Just as Phil and Kobe get it.
And, re: NBA Finals.
Again, Kobe gets it. Post game interview when asked about the upcoming Boston game: "Defense and rebounding". |

Other Master observations:
"Man on the moon...great. Russians would have had someone on the sun by now."
"Speech did nothing. Nothing's changed." - after Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech.
"88 in a row. Fantastic. Wake me when they play some defense." - while watching UCLA in the 70s. |

And the best was Posey whining about that last call.
"You mean I can't barrel into someone with a shoulder and get away with it? But Thibodeau said I can." |

Posey is certainly a dirty player.
He's the type of player that I hate when he's not on my team, but if he were on the Lakers, believe he'd be a net positive. |

How long has Bynum been playing without his brace? I just noticed it tonight. |

PJ post game interview:
-So dominant because we sustained an effort against Paul and contained West.
-Didn't like our second half that much...got stalled up but our defense held pretty strong.
-Celtics game is a good measuring game. How good do we have to get? Are we there yet?
-Ended the road trip on a good note.
-(Regarding the Celtics game) Both teams played tonight and both teams had to travel. Key for the game is to be consistent, don't let their speed kill us.
-We hope to play a good game on our home court vs. the Celtics.
-Still working on giving up easy baskets and not rebounding well. _________________ Rest In Paradise Kobe & GiGi |

They didn't crack double digits. It's pretty unreasonable to expect a team playing it's 4 game in 5 nights away from home to play the full 48 minutes with the same intensity as the first 42 something when the lead was still 19.
Sure, it's not nice to see Phil putting Kobe&Gasol back in after that short offensive dry spell, but at the same time Scott was really riding his starters tonight so a run here and there is to be expected from one of the best teams in the league. I didn't expect them to go out quietly on their own floor again... |

Once again, TOUCHES do not equal ATTEMPTS. It's not that Pau doesn't touch the ball. There are time he can't do anything with it (alot of times). When Kobe was on the bench in the first quarter, the entire offense would stop off ball when Pau got it in his hands. Pau is a smart player, and if he can't do anything with the ball, he gets rid of it. But don't assume just because he went 8-10 that he can score at will, because he can't.

It's the Hornets. You know they're gonna make a run and the Lakers responded. I'm not concerned at all with a good team like this. _________________ |

Since he's from Catalonia, Spain, he can speak three languages: Spanish, Catalan, and English. That's pretty normal in Spain where regional languages, such as Catalan, Basque, and Galician, are very important. Not only is he a good English speaker, but it's very difficult to detect an accent. Very smart guy. Gary Payton, on the other hand, is a (bleep) moron. |
