Magic is only 1/2 game behind us in the overall standing
this will be a measuring stick for us especially on the defensive end
I think the best way is to not double team Dwight Howard
cuz that'll lead to open three point shooters, and that's what gonna kill us.
Howard can shoot all he wants, he's not gonna beat us by himself. We need to make the Magic a one-dimensional team. And not firing on all cylinders.

This is a must win for Lakers as it is a possible tie breaker with Orlando if we end up even and in the Finals. Lakers CANNOT risk possibly dropping two games in a row at home to ORL and CLE. These are MUST wins as much as Boston game was. _________________ The Man who Built the Great Western Forum
Isn't it crazy that out of all the top teams in the league the Lakers are the only one that doesn't have to shoot a high percentage of 3's to win?
We are playing the younger version of the Spurs tonight in the Magic. The Spurs have the championship mettle while the Magic have the young legs. If we dump the ball inside and play pick/roll-pop with Kobe and our bigs we should dictate the pace of the game. Allowing Ariza to shadow Jameer Nelson would also help as it would disrupt the offensive flow of the Magic.
If we play intense all game long on both ends we should win by 10. If not, we'll win a squeaker. _________________ Stop crying and start doing.
Orlando is a tough matchup and this game could go either way. The Lakers have had problem with bigs being able to hit the 3, due note to the Sacremento game and if Lewis is camped out on the three point line, Pau will be useless guarding him.
With Farmar and Sasha out (don't know if Sasha is good to go or not), and Fish carrying a groin injury, along wiht Jameer Nelsons improved play this season might be another mismatch for Orlando.
And if Vlade is on Hedo, that is something the Lakers shouldn't want to see. Hedo might not be playing upto the level he was last year but he will still burn Vlade on offense.
I'm still not with what seems to the majority around here in thinking Bynum is on Dwight's level or even has the potential to be on his level so who knows what will happen with this matchup, Bynum is much more suited to matching up with Dwight then Pau is because he is stronger and tougher on the inside, I wouldn't want to see Pau on Dwight, while Pau has good length with his arms, I don't think he has the foot speed or athletisim to match Dwight.
As for Kobe, as mentioned somewhere before, he's a mismatch every night and will burn anything that Orlando throw at him in a one on one situation.
Don't forget, Orlando also has the best road record in the league so they won't be easy to beat at home. _________________ "This is a comptitive city. Time to revenge the game that slipped away. The Lakers were on the second end of a back to back and barely lost in Orlando. I expect them to come out with a bang tonight and throw the hammer down early.
Tough fight tonight , Orlando the best road team in nba . If we double we will get burned , just hope Gasol or Bynum can contain Howard just little. Please Phil let kobe or Ariza guard Nelson .

This game is over. Kobe will be coming out firing and defending with intensity, and the Lakers will be up double digits in the first quarter on the way to a dominating victory! _________________ "I got a hand that'll rock ya cradle, cream ya like cheese, spread ya on my bagel." - Shaq, 1992.
I kind of how the game is close from start to finish. If we blow it open, Orlando will pull the starters since they have to play Denver tomorrow night.
I want to see us tire them out and win, then have them drop another game against Denver tomorrow night. (and I firmly believe we will see Orlando lose two games in a row.)
Lakers 115
Orlando 106 _________________ This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats.
Andrew needs to stay away from fouls trouble. Pau needs to attack inside like last game. The whole game plan on offense should be to get DH12 in early foul trouble, that would make things alot easier.
On D, we need to stay with the shooters but we wont _________________ DancingBarry wrote:

we're gonna fall behind early because of lack of defense on their perimiter shooters but we'll fight back and overtake them by midway through the 3rd and pull away for a nice Friday night win.

I expect a close nail-biter ("duh", lol) with LA getting the win. More worried about Monday then 2night, but hopefully our guys aren't thinking the same way.
