While we live in Colorado, my wife grew up in SoCal and has been in touch with high school friends via Facebook. One of her friends, who lives in Huntigton and knows we like the Lakers, texted this to my wife this morning after seeing Kobe at her gym:
Quote: | I was wearing my Celtics trackie and he gave me the back head nod i gave it back then i put my hands up and he lol'd and said girl did you just throw your hands up to me? and i laughed and said i thought you were mad dogging me. he said i didnt know if i should say good luck or sorry then i said i was thinking the same thing and we both laughed! |
It's run-on sentence text-speak, so a little difficult to understand, but thought some of you might get a kick out of it. |

I could probably find out, but not sure it'd be a good idea to make that public.
My wife apparently asked her if she got an autograph, but I guess it's a pretty strict gym when it comes to that sort of thing (probably because Kobe goes there). |

That's pretty cool!
I don't see why or how SoCal residents could like the the Celtics, but i guess some people just really like to be different. |

I think "mad dogging" means trying to show someone up. |

what kind of gesture is "throwing hand's up". atm, im just picturing her putting her hands in the air as if someone has them at gun point. oh yeah, tell your wife's friend to go (bleep) herself. |

That's what I was curious about. Why would someone throw up their arms up? Is she a mad, charging gorilla? _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.
