Yep! After someone in that hot dog thread mentioned them, I'm always coppin' one after I leave Costco! Great price! Good dog! Free drink! You CAN'T beat that with today's economy! _________________

It depends on which state the Costco is in really. The ones in California sport Hebrew Nationals while the OG ones up here in Washington are Sinai. I prefer the Hebrew's by a landslide so I tend to be slightly bitter about that. |

7-11 Spicy big dog, is not bad. Mainly because you can pile jalapenos, onions, fake cheese and fake chilli on it. That with a slurpee, makes a decent meal : ) |

For anyone who's a fan of The Stand, they just opened one up a little further west into the Valley near Burbank and Canoga in Woodland Hills. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

Took the kids out for dogs at the Cafe $1.50 yesterday! They love em, and where else can you get lunch for 4 for 6 bucks? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

You and me both. My girls are going to a concert with friends this weekend, and my oldest son has work to do. So it's just going to be me and my little man. I asked him what he wants to do, just the two of us, and he says, "Let's get one of those giant hot dogs at Costco". _________________ “We must always take sides. The one on Ventura (is that the only one)? I went there one day after a gnarly craving only to find that it had been closed.
What's funny is that this happened previously in the week at another restaurant. My BF told me I was never allowed to crave any of his favorite restaurants again because they are sure to be closed when we get there. |

Pretty sure that was the only one, though there may have been one in Woodland Hills/Trazana at one point from my hazy recollection of my Valley days.

I don't blame him.
Next time you are in Sherman Oaks/Studio City and get a craving, the chili chesse dog at Carney's is decent. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

WF was the bomb. I remember running up in there after they announced they were closing. _________________

Is Weiner Factory the one that got replaced by Jeff Suppan's restaurant or the one that they just shut down and it's still sitting there decaying and boarded up? _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

I don't know what Soup's replaced, but Wiener Factory is in fact the one that's deceptively still there (because it's always been sorta run down and old looking) but all boarded up.
We went to Soup's once to watch a Pistons game and it was pretty dead. But the food was ok. I think. |

There was a hot dog place in that spot, that I now remember was called The Weinery, that me and a couple buddies from work used to frequent. Very good hot dogs and chili there. I was bummed when it disappeared. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

There is a place in North Hollywood on Lankershim called Vicious Dogs that is, bar none, the best hot dog place around. And that includes Pinks, Carney's, and Costco.

Anyone ever go to The Infield in Sherman Oaks on Ventura/Beverly Glen? It's a little stand that used to be The Dip I believe. It's got a cute little setting; the seats are from Doyer's stadium. I just got a chili dog but their menu seemed very interesting.
The first time I went there I didn't realize they only took cash until my order was up, which came out to be ~$8. Embarrassed, I told them I didn't have enough cash, so they said to just "come back tomorrow" to pay. Then one of the guys said, "well do you have any cash at all?" I had about $4 and he said "that's good enough for me, enjoy!" |

Oh LB, I thought I already mentioned it previously in this thread, but apparently I didn't. Tommy's. I already know you like Tommy's chili. Get one of their dogs with chili, cheese, and mustard on it. Seriously good. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |
