Yes his cheerleading skills are an invaluable asset to the team.

that's really been an issue all year long.. no clear roles.. Odom in the starting lineup makes a whole lot of difference. Odom doesn't need to score, just his mobility on offense and defense helps.

Players are not usually generalists, they are good at a couple things and that is all they should try to do. When they try to do stuff they are not good at you get in trouble individually and as a team. Will the lesson sink in?

Bynum going to the bench would decrease his trade value. No such thing will happen.

Of course, trade him by the break and there won't be any worries.

I don't have a problem with that. It seems his baginitis is a recurring thing that just won't go away.

If there's a trade, it should be your boy, who is in his prime and still plays like a wuss. Pau takes up Bynum's space just as much as vice versa.

Gasol has shown the ability to play at a high level for an entire season. I think I'll go with the known quantity.

Where's the posting of 'Troll' comments when Bynum gets bashed? But, if Kobe gets bashed, it's the apocalypse.
Are you really comparing Andrew Bynum to Kobe Bryant, and what they offer this team?

Come on now...

BobbyJ, why do you bother with any semblance of a pro-Fisher post? This board has been overrun by Fisher-bashing "fans" who obviously know better than Phil Jackson, Lakers players and upper management with respect to Fisher's worth to the team. Heck, we've already seen some posts openly hoping that Fisher gets injured. How sad.

It's too bad because the "Lounge" used to provide a fully engaging read. Now it seems to have degenerated to become an increasingly inflammatory, name-calling player bashing board where genuine posts are becoming few and far between.

In any event, this game was important for the Lakers, being that they were on the road in hostile territory without their franchise player. Imagine that, Fisher stepping up in an important game. Go figure!

When are folks going to realize that until the Lakers have different players, Fisher is the better fit with the starters. Farmar is a play making and shooting PG who needs the ball in his hands, this is terrible fit with Kobe, Pau, and Bynum.

the lakers collectively played well tonight-they got a W, and they did so without kobe--and only had one quarter out of bynum--they did this in a place they havent won in years. sasha hit a few shots, fisher had a few big shots, and ron artest nails a three to end the half--you would think that LG would be all positive.

oh-and i love those who always bash phil jackson and his decisions--while he does make some lousy decisions from time to time, but he is the winningest laker coach and has the most championships---apparently everyone on LG with a keyboard knows better.

They have a positive score against us since 2005. We are inconstant, so we can win, but it will be tuff.

We have 17-12 against teams above .500, horrible.

This team is incredible, w/o Kobe we won in Portland lol. Let's see what happens against the Spurs, I never know what Lakers we will be watching.
