I didn't realize that there were actually people who thought any of this was funny. Every time I've had to watch it, I actually get this picture in my head of all the people working on it in production, cringing over every second of the material that they are creating.
But hey... to each his own! |
Are you Matt Stone or Trey Parker? |
lol
i thought what south park did was funny.
and obviously they were joking around
osama: "if you look closely at all the jokes in family guy they have nothing to do with the plot... and thats totally not cool" lol
which is actually true glad they made a joke on family guy about it though
idk i always liked south park more than the simpsons and family guy...
and the humor in family guy is so simple really anyone could make this show. the creator of ren and stimpy ripped them for that too
btw, anyone else think the characters in family guy are a rip off of the simpsons characters? |

Lots of sitcoms that feature a husband and wife as the main characters are basically rip offs of The Honeymooners formula: Fat dunce of a husband and a thin neurotic wife. |

i know that
but they have a reason
they hate it because its all just gags. most/all of the jokes have nothing to do with the plot
the simpliest comedy in the world, a kid could write it
and MS and TP arent the only people/comedians who hate the show for this reason.
i like family guy
but you have to admit its easy to make |

No.. they aren't the only ones that hate it, but they really shouldn't make such a big deal about it. I don't see why they're so offended when people mention Family Guy with South Park. So what? |

they get compared to family guy alot by critics and fans, and since family guys jokes doesent need much effort they get pissed
i could see how they get mad at being compared to a show thats completely different and alot easier made
a family guy joke could be as easy as gary coleman falling down, and it would have exactly nothing to do with the plot!
although thats hilarious its not the point |

back to quotes : When peter tries to get out of megs recital and pulls the nail gun to lois
"Is that that now"
"If your going to shoot me you mightve as well tie your shoes first"
then when peter looks down she tackles him and says you like eating red carpet, say you like eating red carpet.
Quagmire falls down outside after hearing that and falls down and says "giggity" =D

Its not true, Family Guy seems simple to make but there's alot of production involved. To top it off, Seth McFarlen is very gifted. Not only in voices, but some of the jokes and writing.
The best is the DVD version where you can listen to the commentary. Its interesting to see whats involved. The episode where Drew Barry came in as guest commentator was one of the best, she's really funny in person. I strongly recommend watching DVD commentaries if you're a big Family Guy fan. _________________ The journey to 17 begins... |

Brian and Stewie's Walkie-Talkie "over" scene... last half of it...
Brian : You know you're a jackass, for the record, i don't want to hang out with you when this is "over".
Stewie : When this is what brian "over".
Brian : I said I don't want to hang out with you anymore when this is "over".
Stewie : When this is what? You got to finish your sentence "over".
Brian : That's it, my sentence is "over".
Stewie : Your sentence is what brian "over".
Brian : Wait a minute, I have to say the word over even if it ends with the word "over"?
Stewie : Ends with the word what brian "over".
Brian : Oh i see the wire.
Stewie : You see the wire what "over".
Brian : OVER!!!
Stewie : AHHH!! |
